I miss an sd card slot for avoid to travel with a pc/mac for recording multitrack. with this feature this could be the next standar for field location recording but.. without SD card is a issue.

Do the outputs of Zoom default to a particular USB channel pair? I ask because on my StudioLive 32SC the Zoom output defaults to USB 1&2 which renders those inputs useless for analog connections and according to Presonus these Outputs are “assigned by Zoom software”. I wonder if this true for the DM3.
I think if Yamaha can make a TF Rack 3U version with 16 combo jacks, 10 inch screen (since I believe the behringer wing rack was roughly based on Yamaha TF rack) a bit more pricey than the TF rack. That would be awesome (and quiet enough for Studio/Live use). More than 1 headphone jack.
excuse me, I don't understand if it is possible to record several tracks in a stereo file on the USB stick without going through the PC / DAW. We are a piano and voice duo and we would like to record the performances on the USB stick with excellent audio quality without having to use Cubase or similar. Is it possible to send the mixed production directly to the DM3S on the front USB?all the post recording effects like compressor, reverb, limiter and voice effects how are they? is it possible to do everything from the dm3s machine? thanks

However, one very important issue I face is that the level going into the DAW through USB, cannot be adjusted through the faders. I have to adjust it through the audio gain knob, or somehow adjust the incoming level from the source itself which is not always possible. Is there a way to control the output level going through usb through the faders?

Also, can the turn knob be used as a jog/scrub wheel in a DAW like Tascam model 12? That would be great! I am missing 8 endless rotary encoder as well. What's the point of controlling pans with just one turning knob, the touch screen or faders? Can it control all my logic pro plugins like Behringer x touch does? Only controlling the faders and transport are not enough. I am sure Yamaha dropped the pots to save their other mixer products. That's how the music industry kills our dream of getting a perfect, convenient, ergonomic device for the sake of profit, politics and competition every f**** time! However, I am still planning to sale off my Behringer x touch DAW controller, analog mixer and my USB audio interface and buy this beast! I waited 20 years for an all-in-one mixer-interface-controller combo device like Digidesign Digi 002. Probably the post-pandemic drop of hi-end mixer sales prompted Yamaha to bring back this economical all-in-one old concept back.

Do Yamaha marketing guys think people would buy a $1700 digital mixer like this for live mixing only? it's main selling point is multi channel usb audio interface and DAW control, the very rare 3-in-1 device, yet Yamaha promoted a very little about those functions!
