    *To those who put a bit too much in and now have liquid inside of their footballs. Re-insert the stem, and tip it down so the liquid drains out. The part where the leak was will be dry, and any excess will drain. Once drained. re-fill with air only, and you have an inflated fixed ball, with no extra liquid.*

      I have a signed Andre Reed football that I got from my parents in OP, went to put it in a display case but the ball is flat and seems as if air easily pushes through the laces. Will this solution work to fix that?

    I have an autographed pro model Wilson Duke, and it’s flat, I was told the rubber bladders only have a life around ten years. Not sure if you keep it pumped up it makes a difference but my $90 ball has a crappy players autograph and definitely has depreciated in value, being broken and flat as hell

    I did this and it worked. The football now holds air, but the whole house smells like Fix A Flat. And there is liquid inside the ball now. Still cheaper than replacing the ball.

    Major League props coming out your way!!!😎😃😎
    Wanting to find a way to deal with my leaking Wilson autograph football I tried your Fix A Flat method.
    Upon the first application of Fix A Flat I still detected a slight hissing leaking air sound coming from the valve area, not having anything to lose, I re-entered the needle and gave the football a second dose of Fix A Flat. Gave the ball a couple of shakes, and turns.
    And, like magic, the leaking completely stopped, the ball was treated yesterday, and after numerous inspections, the football is feeling for the first time in years totally stable.
    I had a plan #2 just in case the Fix A Flat didn't work (which was to send this football back to Wilson for the repair), but the Wilson representative told me that they will not/do not repair Autograph Style (the three (3) panel white embroidered team logo) balls. They do not want to be responsible for damage to any acquired autographs.
    Thanks again. 😎😎😎

    Hi...I tried the method that you have offered.
    The ball inflated nicely...but what I now have is what feels like 2/3 ounces of liquid floating around inside. It does not seem to want to go away after repeated spinning of the ball. What now?

  • @Sam_beydoun
    @Sam_beydoun 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Will this make the football last forever? And would this make the ball heavier?

  • @DougHinVA
    @DougHinVA 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    let most of the air out and then attach a ball inflation needle to the FixaFlat spout after shaking the can 30-45 seconds, The air loss is generally near the inflation valve...so shake the ball to make the rubber liquid coat inside the ball near the valve. Keep skaking/recoating every 10-15 minutes a few times for a few seconds. re-inflate the ball after 4-5 hours and insert the needle after wetting it in saliva and same for valve. you want the needle to glide in to not tear loose any seal inside.

    Hey dude, Bills fan here - signed Andre Reed ball that seems to deflate from the laces. Will this solution work even if it's from the laces and not a puncture/hole in the ball?

    • @NoClueHowTo
      @NoClueHowTo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there friend, Go Bills!
      This method may not work for you, if it's from the laces, it may be a more in depth or larger break, you can certainly give it a try though, it's worth a shot, just make sure you drain the excess liquid out of the inside after, and re-pump it up!

    This will add weight to the ball and make it uneven. This method does fix the leak but with a huge cost to the ball. Actually turning it pretty much useless.

    • @NoClueHowTo
      @NoClueHowTo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      IF you notice undried excess, you can attach valve stem again,. and drain. The dried portion that fixes the leak will remain, and the heavy liquid will be removed.

    • @Highlifepods

      I did this, and if you drain the liquid after it plugs then it will not affect the football. Barely adds weight and still spins like before in the air.

      @shakrmakr: You wouldn't want to try the fix a flat method on anything other than a ball that you play in the backyard with, or perhaps the local park. Send YOUR ball to the Wilson factory in Ada Ohio, and they'll replace the bladder AND re-lace the ball for around $20.

    Okay, I followed your instructions letter by letter, and the Fix a Flat did indeed inflate the football, and it appears not to be leaking. But..... Now there's something inside my football that rattles when it's tossed. Is this the goo from the Fix a Flat?? Will it dissipate after using the ball for a while?

    • @NoClueHowTo

      once it's been in there for a little while, you can stick the needle in without the hose, to drain out the excess. and then pump it back up with just air, and you're good to go

      NoClueHowTo's reply to me worked to remove the excess goo from inside my football. But my ball kept needing more and more Fix a Flat and started smelling like a Petroleum Refinery. Great video from the author, and it indeed will fix your football. But last Thanksgiving (Black Friday) I scored a brand new Wilson Leather Football for $8 Bucks!! Consider this a temporary fix if you use your ball all the time and want to keep it in the house.. Oh, let's all give the author a thumbs up for the video. I truly would never have considered Fix a Flat to repair my favorite Nike Leather Football (still in the garage and inflated, I cannot throw it away).
