so smooth... I really hope one day every synth manufacturer will choose you as their primary sound/patch designer + demo producer 😅 loving the sound coming from your fingertips as always!
This piece of gear really grabbed my interest. I can't tell much from this though, because I suspect you could make anything sound amazing...such great flow, mellow waves and depth, delicate details, fx...............
@@JosuaKarlson hab das 8bit teil ... und auch das ist "okay" ... aber halt auch mehr nicht. Glaub ich würd's eher absamplen als so zu benutzen wie es angedacht ist ^^
Awesome! I want to get one of these to make background loops in a little game I'm making. The sounds spark such wonder and intrigue while being completely relaxing.
@@fadplastic I’m working on a LEGO-like open world building sandbox. We have some simple game-loop concepts but for me, I just want to build spaceships and explore.
Great jam, you always get the best out of each device you use. I’m really on the fence with this device though. Initially I thought it was a must-buy, but now I’m not sure it really will trigger my creative brain like my Syntakt did. I would love to have some shimmer reverb for my Syntakt though, so I might be better off getting an effects pedal.
I just made a shimmer reverb for the MPC. All it took was a pitch shift effect, a granulator effect , and a reverb and you’re all set. You can put it in as an FX rack or put it on a send. I still ordered an Ambient 0. This machine has its limitations but I still want to try it out.
Thanks a lot !! I'll try to make it short... it's not a bad experience working with it at all... but it's not very exciting either. For me it will certainly remain a curious collector's item and not something I will use regularly. It's absolutely usable, sounds quite lo-fi but full of character... but it doesn't offer anything new or exciting for me.
@@substan_musicwell, for us it brought one great sounding track! I'd send it over to the Livin guys to get featured / become one of their synthfluencers?
beautiful work, such a nice piece with only onde device. I am considering the Liven Ambient Ø as well, price point is very attractive and, so far, most videos I've seen sound great.
I`m listening it 5th time. Sound just fenomenal. Can`t wait to get mine. Does Ambient 0 has any chances to stay for a longer time within your gear setup?
I'm very glad you like it 🙏 This device won't have a permanent place in my setup ... it's really too fiddly and somehow cumbersome for me. But it will stay with me and I think it will be taken off the shelf from time to time.
I can't decide: this Ambient or the Texture Lab? I'm a noob playing ambient electronic sounds (Roland S1 and guitars + effect pedals). I suppose the Ambient is easier to use and the Texture Lab is more diverse/versatile. But what about the ambient sound quality, depth and richness? I am inclined to the Ambient, but not sure. Can somebody help with some imputs?
You ask an absolute Digitone fanboy... it is THE device for me. 😅 In fact, the Ambient reminded me a lot of the Digitone... only in a much "cheaper" version. So if you want to spend little money and accept a much more "clunky" operation and can get by without the at least 50% more "magic" that the Digitone offers, then buy the Ambient (as I said, very biased advice) 😊 Seriously ... the Ambient is REALLY not bad and totally OK for the price ... but no competitor to the Digitone .. this one is a piece of art
@@substan_music I actually got it a couple of hours before you replied. I've had the exact same experience. I can try it for two weeks before I can give it back, we'll see!
I got one today and it doesn't have a power adapter..... I used a 6AA buttery for 4 hours of play, and would like to buy an AC 9V tomorrow, but it's not easy to find this charger in the store, it's available but only by shipping, and I don't want to wait ))
Why don't you use one of those universal power supplies that are basically available everywhere. 9v center positive with this plug is actually quite unusual ... but with a universal power supply with interchangeable plugs and voltage it should work.
Thanks !! Given the fact that at the moment a used OG Digitone is almost as cheap as the ambient ... which is insane ... I would go for the Digitone without a doubt. The ambient is OK for the price but the UI is really awful (not to mention the plastic feel) and the Digitone is so MUCH more versatile and inspiring.
I was thinking of buying this machine.. Does sound nice.. But I bought a second hand Digitone a few weeks back and it is a very exciting machine.. So much to explore…
HI just great as usual. Do you use your own samples or is it samples from the device itself or sounds design you create with it. Loops seems much more easier to create because of fade in and fade out possibilities. Something we all MISS on digitakt
Thanks !! There is only one fieldrecording sample involved (which was already on the box) ... the rest is synthesis. I totally agree with you about the fades. At least an option to have this built into the sample after sampling (as is the case with ambient0) is actually quick and easy to implement ... don't understand why
@@substan_music I Still dont understand why Elektron has no fades on digitakt 1 or 2. It will give us much more flexibiliy and time to play music directly without using Daw.
@@blueberry2a somehow I get why there is no crossfade on the playback itself. That would require 2 voices per track. But on the sample edit page .. after you recorded the sample .. it would be easy to implement a crossfade to render it permanently into the sample. At least that ..
