- Let's address the red Audi shaped elephant in the room.
Yes, there was a crash.
No, nobody was hurt.
Yes, I did get it.
No, I wasn't comfortable including it, but no harm no foul is the way I have to look at things.
Tried a slightly different angle on the Sunday, mainly to get a better perspective on that hateful corner, all 180 degrees of it. You thanked me by presenting the biggest, baddest, most beautiful selection of machinery I've ever seen.
Busy doesn't even get close.

If you were thinking can a 40 year old Audi keep up with a bike up hartside the answer is simply no , but must say it’s self parking , technology was way ahead of its time , 🏍👍👎👍👎
@@peterjackson1133 yeah ive no doubt they have been dusting bikes , I could see from the footage it was fair shifting , I actually followed it home, and it was spitting out enough turf to lay a lawn , and to be fair it must be tough as hell as it didn’t look to badly damaged , 🏍👍

Porsche was very lucky not to have a head on but the Audi tried cutting the corner to keep up with that crazy gsxr.
Problem was he didn't realise the Porsche was there so had to go around him. This caused the sudden weight shift and predictable loss of traction.
Unlucky i guess but fortunate not to get too badly damaged.
Was so hoping that was a genuine 6R4. Oh well.
Nobody going to mention the awesome tractor horn !

Used to love hammering my scooby up to the cafe at the top get my lunch and hammer it back down the other side to the lakes. Only when i couldn't see any others
So pleased a biker was not caught up by Audi
That road is superb, ride it a few times each year and have done over the decades. But far too busy now on nice weekends, plus too many knob jockeys. Fortunately, now retired I can enjoy it on a weekday 😉
I rarely ride on a weekend now because of all the wannabe Michael Dunlops. Midweek is awesome and quiet 😊

I’ve got a mate who lives up at Alston, they feel like they’re in the middle of a game of Gran Turismo sometimes going to work or when popping to the shops at Penrith. I do love seeing some of the cars and bikes on the pass, but those mixed with the bicycles, the local traffic, the bikes and the heroes ‘pressing on’ it does feel a bit hazardous at times! Fortunately the Audi driver karma’d themselves, but could have been so much worse had there been another car/bike in the wrong place. Cheers for the video anyway, it’s a great bit of road, and shame about the cafe.
I'm a keen cyclist but would definitely steer clear of Hartside, especially when the Audi's are out!
