MEGA ABBRUCH BAUSTELLE! Abriss der ehemaligen #Oberpostdirektion in Hamburg. Das beeindruckende Gebäude mit 11 Etagen wird wegen seiner #Architektur auch "Postpyramide" genannt. In den 70er Jahren in der City Nord erbaut, war es Arbeitsplatz für 1.400 Menschen. Im Jahr 2011 wurde das Gebäude wegen Mängeln beim #Brandschutz geräumt, im Jahr 2017 begann der Abriss. Die Arbeiten übernimmt die Firma #Hagedorn. Ein #Seilbagger mit Kugel beginnt am oberen Stockwerk, unterstützt von einem #Longfront #Bagger.

Tearing down the former headquarter of the german postal service - "the pyramid". Built in the 70's the impressive 11 story building was closed in 2011 due to fire protection issues. A renovation would have been too expensive and the decision was made to replace the building with new residential houses. A giant crawler crane with wrecking ball starting at the top of the building, supported by a high reach demolition excavator.

I wonder if the job is still on time or behide time just its hard to judge how far the ball will go everyday it just has to bring it down to a level for long reach which seems a bit faster but the wrecking ball driver has done a brilliant job ..

This is absolutely fascinating. But I have a few questions. 1. Why the water spraying? 2. Why not start at the bottom? 3. Why not use a bigger wrecking ball?

schön das noch Material davon da ist 😉...mittlerweile ist der R960 in Castrop Rauxel beim Kraftwerk Abbruch mit dem CAT 390F & der Liebherr Kran ist in Emshaven beim Windrad Abbruch auch durch Hagedorn 😉✌🏻

Why does it use a very tiny ball compared to the machine? Even the diameter of the ball is still smaller than the boom of the machine.
