There are two artists that I have loved all my life. One was David Bowie and the other is Joan Armatrading. Her music touches my very soul. She is right up there with the very best musicians. I remember seeing her live when she first burst on the scene,I was blown away by her guitar prowess then and she was mainly playing rhythm. Now she plays lead in her ensemble and is just killing it. She is a once-in-a-generation artist and deserves to be an icon.
