- Hello everyone! Today's video will be about the Malaysian-spec 2016 Nissan Almera four door saloon with the 1.5 litre HR15DE naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 101hp/102PS paired to a 4-speed automatic in the E trim.
Below is the list of current Almera four door saloon variants available in Malaysia as of 12th November 2017. I arranged it from the cheapest to the most expensive.

I own this car and happy with it so far. Gives good fuel economy (7.5L/100KM combined), peppy engine and decent overall reliability. The 2020's version looks like a proper upgrade and will give its rivals their run for money

It's not the middle of the highway. It's the end of an unused (for now) road.
The transmission isn't an automatic, but a CVT.
It is a 4-speed automatic for Malaysia.

It wouldn't have been hard for Nissan to put in a temp gauge. There a pretty basic feature.

Seriously, a 2016 car still have single airbag?
Haha... There are cars out there that still don't have an airbag. Thank goodness all cars on sale in Malaysia have at least an airbag.
But according to Transport Minister at 2012, new car must have at least two frontal airbags by 1 January 2012. How can Almera get through this?
That ruling was actually for at least one driver's airbag, not two front airbags.

Great video as always! Very detailed explanation on all the functions of the car. I just wanted to point out that the Almere takes the award for being one of the ugliest, if not the ugliest car in production. It’s basically a big metal box with wheels and outdated technology. There is nothing to love about this car, and it handles worse than a fully loaded minivan. I hate to say this but if you’re looking to get a car to get from point A to point B, I would suggest you to look elsewhere. There is still a misconception that Japanese or German or even Korean cars are better built compared to Proton and Perodua but this car proves that wrong. There are rattles coming from everywhere inside the cabin and the cheap plastic cracks and peels when parked under the hot sun for a week. I recall an incident during my college years when me and a few buddies wanted to go clubbing and one of the boys just got an Almera from his parents as a birthday surprise. After arguing about whether or not we should be arriving in that huge pile of junk, we decided to get a Grab instead 😂. It was shameful to arrive at a prestigious nightclub in a boat to be honest

Hazman Nissan Almera. The cheapest car you can buy if you don't want a Proton or Perodua.
Hazman reliability will be much better on the almera since Proton still makes cheap feeling cars.

It is somewhat based on the Nissan Micra/March, but it is never sold as the March Sedan.
Only a driver side airbag seriously proton persona better at least 2 airbags

I really hate the Almera. Its just some car, no personality and soul. Its also way too basic and cheaply equipped across the entire range.

Very basic car and easy to use.
One of my relatives have this one in 2016 E trim as well.
But it is quite different here in Thailand.
All trim in Thailand get CVT and 1.2 l engine which very eco and powerful.
Interior quite different as well.
The car is cheap, but it drive very good, and interior very roomy.
