Respect to all he healthcare workers for working such long hours. You can tell how hard they work by the time they get to work to when they end there shift. Once again thank you👍❤️
I hope your mother-in-law knows how much you appreciate her. I mean, I appreciate her and I don't even get to eat her food! I'm so happy when you get delicious nom noms!! :-)
Yes please.show us more! So glad u got to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with family. No u didn't sound like u were complaining. It was nice u were trying to lesson the burden of your team mates. If I needed a IR I HOPE its someone like u❤
✨Dr. Cellini, you are still kicking out GREAT content from beginning to the end✨....I may not comment {but I do 👍} each vlog...Thank you for being so dedicated at what you do.💫
I guess it's a problem posting the actual procedures (with the patient + hospital's OK) - if not to complicated I'd love for you to quickly describe the procedure + why it's required. I guess if you can maybe we'll all see a new playlist!!! If not....oh well we asked. Just found your channel + love how you make your videos so interesting! It's so encouraging to see young specialized Dr's out there doing your best every day for sick patients. You SHOULD be paid top dollar!! Take care + take it easy!!!
Hey Dr. Cellini, I currently have my RN, BSN and I want to be able to do more and gain more knowledge. Every time I watch your videos it inspires me to go back to school and complete my GE’s needed for medical school admissions... I will start them next fall!!!!!
That’s awesome! Ever thought of just going NP though? Instead of having to completely change course? I did have a BSN in my class though :) pretty awesome feat to have done both!
Yes,👍Yes... I love that kind of stuff. I love Doctor Pinble. And also the foot Series!!! Thanks For The Goodwork..I do feel sad, how much you work .But like all my Doctor say. This is what I signed up for.
Great start to my Sunday. Thanks for another awesome video. I love the week on calls 👨🏻⚕️ Out of curiosity, do they switch your on call schedules to alternate holidays so you aren’t stuck working all of them?
You have a remarkable work ethic doc. I dont understand why we have a system where these kinds of hours are required to get qualified to take care of people.
Are you ever not on call? 🙈 These vlogs are amazing but I always feel bad for you because it seems like you are not getting any off-time... 🤞🏻🤞🏻 you start working as an attending next year and have more control over your schedule... You deserve it!!! Love from Croatia 🤗🇭🇷
You beat me by 8 hours. Did it to in the ICU get two days off in a row for thanksgiving. When the night float came in I had to give him the two admissions that just showed up because I couldn't rad the words on the chart.
Gosh, 8 minutes late! It's the earliest I've ever been! Amazing video, but I do feel bad for the amount of 7 day calls you do. Will it get better anytime soon?
I enjoy the DITL vids. I just finished up chemo for early stage ovarian cancer a month ago. Before that I had a couple MRIs and CT stand and X-rays for various things. During the time I noticed the endometriomas, I had to have the MRIs to check on how they were (was trying a couple hormones) and then had a CT scan in the ER in June (had one scheduled before then, but had to go to the ER for abdominal pain), I researched what to expect during those scans and became interested in it. I think maybe in a couple years (I want to make sure my health is still good) to go back to college for X-ray tech. I’m in my early 40’s so I don’t want to do med school. Maybe eventually get CT certified too...who knows? ☺️
I hope you’re doing ok! That’s so awesome you want to make something good out of all of what you’ve been through/going through.. so inspiring. I’m sure you’ll do amazing wherever you end up!
@@DrAdamHotchkiss I’m doing really well. I think my body took the chemo pretty well. Not much nausea during treatments, no neuropathy (took my vitamin b6 every day). Lost most of my hair, but I know it will grow back - hair on my head is starting to come back. Have some fuzz. Had low energy for a week after my infusions, but I gained it back afterwards (infusions were every 3 weeks).
@@DrAdamHotchkiss thank you. I have a PET/CT scan coming up on the 17th. I’m sure it will come out okay. My gyn oncologist believes that he got it all in my hysterectomy back in June. He took 10 biopsies during the surgery and they all were normal, so he believed the cancer was localized and didn’t spread.
@@fiddlegirl79 that would be great. I really hope so! I’ll keep you in my thoughts. Keep fighting and best of luck on making something good out of all of this! I know you will! Oh and it’s never too late for med school ;)
It's great that you can get the chance to do procedures and the hospitals don't focus only to treat covid patients. Where I live, health care is focused more on covid patients and less on chronic patients. P.P.S. yes, I would love to see the drainage 😀
@@DrAdamHotchkiss well i watch hunting and fishing videos on TH-cam and the guy always used to show the cleaning (like cutting the animal open and breaking it down into pieces) and he ended up just having to do those cleaning videos as separate videos because he said TH-cam will demonitize the videos or take them down because of the blood sometimes, even if only a little bit of blood showed. So idk but just in case to be careful with TH-cam
@Dr. Cellini: Hi Doc, I have a question. I'm highly considering radiology, but I'm a bit concerned about how AI might affect the future of radiology and the job demand. What are your thoughts on this? thanks!
So, are you primary on patients? I’m an RN and IR does procedures, leaves a brief op-like note, then is done. Primary MD services and consulting services round, but never IR. Is it different for you?
How do you manage to stay on top of sleep? Like, you don't have a call room to nap and then you get called multiple times throughout the night when you're actually sleeping which means you might get 2-3 hours of solid sleep... how do you do this for 7 days on call let alone a regular non-call shift? Which residencies are able to use a call room? If I don't get my sleep then I will probably feel sick to my stomach and fall asleep at a random time and I'm scared I won't be mentally alert for my future patients.
How do you deal with on-call anxiety? I’m an MRI Technologist and it always kills me not knowing when my phone will ring. Also if I do get called in the middle of the night I always feel like a zombie the next day from lack of sleep. Also, you never know what kind of patient or situation you’re getting into when you get called in, some cases easier than others. And our radiologists don’t back us up if the ER or floor call us in for what really isn’t an emergency.Thoughts or suggestions?
Are you required to be on call because your a fellow? Once you finish up your fellowship & become an attending will you no longer have to deal with being on call?
Random question. When you are doing a procedure that may be messy from drainage or something, how do you protect your ankles from getting anything on them? Your ankles are always exposed with those scrub pants.
I wear the long surgical booties for our bloodiest cases, like when we’re doing a big incision and drainage or an amputation. They look like moon boots 😋
One thing the opening statement of this video highlights is ‘Tell. Don’t show.’, which is a good rule for this area and if you are going to show, tell before you do that way people can choose to opt in or out. I mean, with doctors, you know what you’re getting into, but it’s sort of like if you were going into a class where you have to study, lets say a dead body and they say, “today we’re going to look at a dead body” or give you some form of indicator as opposed to throwing a corpse at you . You might expect the latter once you were a doctor, but by then you’ve had alot of notice. Point is, that pretty gross, but not in an offensive way or a way you were unprepared for given the type of channel you’re watching and stuff like that is informative and necessary par for the course. This guy though... so over worked, major holiday work vibes, but what a warrior. Hang in there. Good advice, good information and good outlook.
If u r doing ir can u specialize in something more specific, like an ir for certain organ or systems? Sorry I didn’t know how to present my question 😬 about I hope u understand it
Probably because you are technically on the job 24/7. Most people like to clock out at 5pm and know they can do whatever they want until they clock back in.
Would love to see Adrianna's take on how she handles your on call week.

Thanks for what you do Brenda! Hope you’re doing ok through all this craziness

Would love to see footage of the procedures! If I was your patient, I would totally let you film the procedure. 😝
Haha I like your style!
This so much ✌️
Can’t wait to have my own practice one day only so that I can film those who are willing haha
Great video! It's interesting to see what a week on call looks like. Thanks for taking us along! I'd love to see a drain procedure.
Thx for the kind words!
When do you stop working 7 day on calls? Into your own preferred schedule? Once completed with your fellow?
Great video as always! I’m an incoming med student and you’re making interventional radiology look very appealing!

4:50 Michael, where's your mask? 😂😂😂
Great video like always! Can you possibly make a video explaining the difference between going to med school vs a DO school?
No, bc DO school is med school
MD and DO, both medical school. Same exact thing. The differences would be so minute
Thanks for another video Dr. Cellini! Do you have a video comparing DO vs MD? Greetings from ATL!
The main difference is the letters behind their name haha. Having worked along side both, I can tell you they’re both the same.
