- In this episode of Mark Berg's Fishing Addiction, Mark Berg surprises Fishing Addiction member Danny and takes him from the Melbourne winter up to the tropical heat of Cape York where they'll be fishing with Far North Fishing.
Joining the crew is Bergie's eldest son, Max, eager to land his first Barramundi. Meanwhile, Danny must complete the lure challenge to win$7000 worth of tackle from Wilson Fishing and Mark Berg's Addict Tackle. He must land eight big fish using eight different lures but there's a twist. The final lure must be made from plastics collected along the coastline of Weipa, addressing the issue of plastic pollution.
Part 1 sees heaps of Barramundi action for the trio as they are guided by Kurt from Far North Fishing. Danny kicks it off catching his first very first saltwater Barramundi off the first cast, whilst Max catches his first-ever Barramundi ever. Bergie also joins in on the action landing a 99cm Barramundi and the trio lure in an unexpected Bull Shark as well.

Always great fishing across the top end of Australia🤠🎣✅️
I love watching the Weipa trips. Kurt is a legend. First Barra on a Ganesy lure too.
Best fishing experience of my life fishing in Weipa.
Weipa what an unbelievable fishing destination could not believe the amount of Barra you could almost walk across them .Danny made it look easy some magic fishing on lures , makes you envious just watching sadly no Barra down here in SA .
Looking forward to next weeks video 👍👍
