I purchased Alien Tape at a Canadian Tire store. For all surfaces was indicated on the packaging BUT the list of not recommended surfaces (including painted wall, who doesn’t have painted wall at home?) you can read in the instructions manual is longer than the list of recommended surfaces. In the TV ad, we can see a person using the tape in a bathroom but wet rooms are not recommended too. I brought the tape back. The TV ad is totally misleading.

Why leave a review if you didn't even use it? It's a great product that has worked on every surface I've put it on. Maybe think for yourself and try it before you write a review for something.

@@rosshinze4578 If you love the product, good for you. Surely you gave it a chance, not me because of the instructions . My review is about the ad versus the instructions not the product. So I thought about my review before posting it. For reviews about the product, just read the comment of other reviewers. They are not really good anyway.

I put a small rug onto the carpet in front of my chair. It would not stay in place. Alien Tape solved the problem perfectly.

I guess it depends on the surfaces, but I applied something to a painted guitar body with way too much Alien Tape and I cannot get it off. That is what I was searching for in this video - how to remove it. Wiggle & pull, they say.

I've never managed to remove cleanly or reuse my alien tape. It always either rips the wall's surface or comes off in unusable little bits. I didn't notice the note in the manual about painted surfaces being a permanent application until just now. Great adhesive, just don't expect to remove it cleanly.

is there a good double sided tape that doesn’t peel the paint for tabletop or on the wall because i ain’t tryna get my paint or the surface peeled off on my tabletop but still want a strong double sided tape

i searched for how to remove the backing from the tape and this video was no help. what a waste of time and money!

PURE GARBAGE takes the paint off of the walls. PUT UP A VIDEO ON HOW TO REMOVE THIS STICKY CRAP Used to hold up Christmas lights. So far removed it from 3 places and all 3 it took the paint off of the wall.

Got some for Christmas. I put up a small bulliten board. Came back in less than half hour to mess on the floor. In fact if you even touch this stuff it won't stick. All hype, no positive results. I was trying to avojd nails. Back to what works.

I have to agree with the above comment that it works. I had first used it on an area rug over some cheap laminate tiling in my basement to test its effectiveness. That was two years ago and the tape is still holding strong.

Yeah, the TV ad is totally misleading. I'm laughing at the woman sticking a security camera to her brick wall outside and I know that camera is falling off in 5 minutes crashing to the ground.
