The play by Ingram was great. He obviously was having a bad shooting night but instead of letting it bother him, found a way to contribute with those 15 huge rebounds and great defense. Trimble was amazing, just a great example of what a coach has to do when the opposing team presents matchup issues, Davis did a great coaching job last night, something he failed to do last year in many of these games.
thats the kinda play that is the deference between this year and last year someone would have got bad body language and not played D a bc he was having a bad shooting game but neither cormac or ingram do that they do other things and play their asses off
Proud of the defense and rebounding since the Oklahoma game. That's how Carolina can get to the Final 4. Bacots got moves inside but it's like he's not being as aggressive and I believe when it gets more toward the end of the year he'll get more 20 and 10 games. Let's go beat Clemson who got rocked by Miami. Go Heels.
@@charlesdiggs5128 not the point. The ball going into him forces defenses to double and triple team him because they're scared enough of what he can do down there. So when the ball goes into the post that immediately opens up swing swing passes for open shots for our shooters. That's the whole point of throwing the ball down there. It's not just for him to score
This team is able to win it all. The defense is right there and this is the perfect blend of offensive talent and depth to get it done. J Wash & Seth Trimble stayed and I think they are the difference makers on this team. RJ = ACC POY. They need to stop with that other guy from Clemson stuff. RJ is more than likely the NPOY too. Ingram = He’s a bully! Cadeau = makes plays at the right time. He will stop making the silly mistakes by season’s end. He’s learning fast. Coramc = a dog on defense. Midrange game is nice. Bacot = the man who will get it done when it’s time to get it done. This looks very much like a national championship team. #HEELS 🐏
remember he could be a senior in high school right now. I think people need to temper their expectations with him. he is phenomenal at what he does which is handling the ball and distributing with his court vision. he could improve on driving the lane because he can beat most of his defenders but if we're expecting him to be a really good defender already and a heavy scorer then I'm sorry you're going to be disappointed. that's not his game. I'm sure with one more year he's going to improve and will have to defensively not to mention perimeter shooting. long story short temper expectations Seth Trimble is capable of easily stepping in for his minutes. a far better defender and has proven to be a pretty good perimeter shooter surprisingly
the refs seemed to allow both teams play a very physical game without calling fouls until 10-15 minutes left. they then started calling fouls on the heels but continued allowed pitt to get away with the same. had the refs been consistent with both teams, calling it tight or allowing them to play, for the full 40 minutes, heels would have won by 20+. hard for me to accept any bacot milestones/records set this season given he got to play 5 full seasons. i was glad that guy last season fell short of Pistol pete's scoring record in his 5th full season. pete only had 3 seasons b/c freshmen were not allowed to play, there was no 3 pt line nor shot clock. this then brings up NCAA records broken by those that were Fr. after '72, thus got 4 seasons. modern NCAA bball was fully in place in '86 when both the shot clock (started at 45 seconds and eventually down to 30) and 3 line were implemented (in the ACC, it was once about a foot below the top of the key before it became an official NCAA rule). the extra covid season is temporary, for 3 classes, making it hard for future players to break records held by 5th year players. nevertheless, bacot got the RB record last season which is legit but this extra season will make it hard for better future rebounders playing their full eligibility.

If this is true I wish you would have done more of this the last two seasons

How about Seth Trimble ??
Honestly he needs Elliotts minutes. Seth is so athletic.
That dunk was Vince Carter-ish.
@@richardshermanjr1899 Yes for his height it was a bad ass throw down. Go Heels.
EVERYDAYERRRR BIGG KUSH CHECKING IN great win BACOT bigg ups scoring over 2,000 sum odd points way to want the ball in the paint too
Emilie Hey! Happy New year!!
Seth and Washington need more minutes.
Let's go heels every game is going to be different
The Tar Heels were 19-22 on the FT line
That question you asked Pac K was no drop defense. Their point guard killed us last year. The different was defense not team but more focus on defense
Need EC to mature rapidly before March. Too many silly fouls and free throws, wow!
TRUST HE WILL BE JUST FINE HE STARTING TO FIGURE IT OUT JUS PICK YOUR SPOTS BETTER AND HE NEEDS TO USE HIS PULL UP HE IS VERY EFFICIENT WITH IT

I would love to hear a player or coaches honest take on TeeVee Teddy.
