I had never visited before and I would like you to know how much fun it was to watch and listen to you. You, your wife and dog are neighbor's I wish I had.
instead of grout u can use 4T calcium csrbonate and 1T talc and 2T water for 1C paint 1T = tablespoon. Using an old blender works great if u r making it often.
I wonder if you could use a whisk, perhaps one made of twigs, if it would mix easier? And if you mix the water to the grout making a paste before adding it to the paint, would that help? The end result was great, just some ideas for mixing it next time.
Perfect chalkboards Eric! Did you use sidewalk chalk for your writing test??? I notice they've changed chalkboard chalk - it seems very hard and doesn't write nearly as well as that chunk you just used.
Hi Eric, can this work with turpentine/alkyd based paints (obviously without the added water)? You see I am in the process of painting may van black. The issue I have with the so called army paint is that IMHO the paint is not matt enough...It is more of a satin/semi gloss. Could the non sand grout trick work to matten (is that a word?) the finish up??

I love that chark board paint. Thats amazing that you made your own.
Wouldn't describe it as a professional, even amateur video, but the chill nature sure does make this enjoyable.

That was neat, great job, nice dog.
I add baby powder to latex paint and it works good. It doesnt get too thick.

Those turned out so good!

That's is so cool! I've wanted a chalkboard to write notes on, but cant see using the store paint when I can make my own.
hey great video! did the chalk erase easily?
That’s great, but how does it look if you erase it?
if you use a sponge its fine. we have had these for years now. :)
you have the best videos! Thank you:)
Can i use diatamesousee earth or bentonite clay powder instead of unsanded grout?
Love your videos, Eric! And love the labs, too!
THx Pauline, - Eric

Hi Eric Great 👍 vid.
thx David, are you going to make one?
Does it erase well?
its pretty good, it is like an old style chalkboard. thx!
Nice vid! how does the board look after erasing the chalk writing?
not bad, it helps to use a bit of water on a towel. its kinda like an old school chalkboard . have you made one? - Eric.
@@gardenfork Not yet thinking of taking down my cork board and making a recessed one there
Thanks for the tips and thanks for sharing. There's one big issue though...
You didn't throw the ball!!! ⚾️🐕🐕
Does anyone know if this would work on an outside chalkboard?
if you used outoor latex, probably. depends on the surface you are painting. thx!
@@gardenfork Thanks that's what I was thinking too. Thanks for sharing your video!
