This game is frickin awesome. Definitely in my top 10. But I think 94s aliens vs predator just edges it.
Wow, this game looks like it was very enjoyable. I, unfortunately, was born 10 years after it came out and I don't see arcade machines much anymore. Its nice to be able to look at a small piece of the past though.

ラスボスのクイーンエイリアンとの一騎打ちでも、映画通りパワーローダーに乗って戦える演出が素晴らしい！
でも映画ではここまでリプリーは活躍してないよね…
The Xenomorph Queen really scared the hell out of me

You know, if you keep shooting the Alien Queen at the end without using the Power Loader to throw her out, after a long while of shooting her the Queen will explode into pieces and the pieces will be dragged out. When you see the cut scene of her being pulled out instead of seeing her squirming, you see the pieces flying out, but then the shot of her face before disappearing stays the same.
I loved this game on the arcade!

Too the alien queen is killed and exploted, and finished game and all enemies destroyed in the levels all clean is a 980.000 pts

Found this in Laser One in Lancaster, Ohio at River Valley Mall in 1990. Found Strider in 91’ at Pizza Crossing in Nelsonville. Why wasn’t this Aliens game put on a home port?
Because it was to extreme and would of sucked on low end consoles.

this is still a great Aliens game & the different xenomorph designs are imaginative but actually feel quite plausible as well. shame it never game a home version back in 1990. I'm guessing that was Amiga & Atari ST at that point ???

it's great that these old arcade games are getting love through emulation though. there was a lot of work put into creating this game & it's good that people.still play & enjoy them.
This is set to the easy setting. I remember the upgrades always ran out after a time a s went back to the weakest gun.

If the weapons were that effective in the movies the marines would have wiped out the xenomorphs in 10 minutes.
Actually, the weapons were basically this effective in the movies and the marines weren't able wipe them all out like that in "Aliens" for 3 reasons. 1. Sgt. Apone disarms all the marines while they traveling near a power generator that would destroy the entire colony if damaged by gunfire. 2. They are ambushed while mostly unarmed. 3. Their escape ship containing most of their weapons and equipment crashes and is destroyed.

Proper nostalgia here. This game was in the cafe in Birmingham Airport in the 90s, used to play the bugger every weekend when me and my mates used to hang out there plane spotting.

for me, in jr high and high school, every september the local end of summer fair would come to town, and they always had a tent for arcade games. This game, and Captain America and the Avengers always killed about 30 dollars worth of quarters for me.

@TheCastellan - Arcade games (even arcade style games for home systems) are legally REQUIRED to have level timers. I think the designers get flogged if they don't include them.
Every Konami arcade game of that era had a timer even if it wasn't visible. Stalling in any level had a negative effect, usually resulting in the player getting killed.

What really kills me about this game is the motion tracker was far more accurate than it ever was in the movie.

Konami made a fucking kickass game. Knowing what we have today makes me admire it more because this is what people had at the time. They got pretty much everything right. Plus on the motion tracker part, I love how it actually helps by showing where the enemies are going to come from rather than just an aesthetic, they didn't have to but they did anyways. Some developers really must've cared for their work and wanted players to enjoy

original model of Alien Queen is a Tyrannosaurus Rex In the walking posture and on the hind legs, walk upright but hunched forward just like the Tyrannosaurus Rex
The game only allows two full laps to it, the score is limited by the number of enemies of the same, the death of Alien Queen is a 200.000 points
What with the zombie human thing in level 2? Were those in the movies?

Lore wise the only explanation is maybe they hatched from an electrical alien or say an eel or jellyfish. Game wise it just makes an awesome boss fight aesthetic
This game is really cool even now.
I always imagined this was a grown up version of Newt that we got to play in this game. A short-haired blonde Ripley is a bit a stretch, even in a world with scissors and hair dye. XD
What I like about this arcade game and others like it (Aliens vs Predator arcade, Aliens: Extermination arcade, Aliens: Armageddon arcade) as well as the Kenner "Aliens" toy line is the different variants of Xenomorphs not seen in the movies or other published material (comics, novels).
It's crazy how short the game is if you emulate it.
Local theater had this arcade game people would gather around and watch me pass the game with 1 quarter so much fun to play

This game looks awesome, aside from some of the repetition. I would love to play it on the original hardware.
The American version has two stages where you shoot at Aliens while riding on top of the APC. They're brief, but they do add some variety.
It's called MAME my dude. MAME emulation is 99.99% accurate for just about anything you can imagine. Can use your own controllers/sticks and everything.
Another classic game i wish they would make for the PS4.

It was not released on console due to the high price of the license since the characters and scenarios and their patents are from the original producer of the movie
@@FUTURAGAEL Which is wild as I'm getting more of a Contra 3? feel off this game than Aliens. It's like another game but reskinned slightly. Back when we were kids we let alot slide, while pumping quarters into the machines.
Alien themed games were few and far between because of the license fees, and only because of the fall of arcades were we allowed anything decent on home platforms. I say A:CM was sad not only because it was poorly made, but because it was devalued by Gearbox's lack of respect in making it. They had the license, but didn't much care.

Besides the conversion of the same for Nintendo would change many sprites and animations since in the 90s Nintendo eliminated many sprites and animations for the versions of Europe and the United States

yea, the car scene is not in this version. I didn't know the game had 2 loops? I've been so close to completing the first loop. I thought I was close to 1cc'ing the game, but there's a whole second loop waiting for me...

Both APC driving sections were cut from the Japanese version of Aliens. The subplot of rescuing Newt is gone as well. However they're definitely on the US & World versions :0)
The missing vehicle sections are so tough. I think they also run the flow of the game.

A game programming error when killing the enemies that come from the left do not look at the center of the screen, they look to the left side this is because they only created the animations and death sprites of the enemies looking only from the right to the left min 10:19

Japanese versions of many Konami games always seem to have an extra feature or 2 in this case the weapons only disappear when you die ala Contra

Or, perhaps some experiment Weyland Co. were doing. Seeing as how the company has no respect for life, be it human or non human, it would not surprise me if Weyland Co. was doing some sort of dark, black budget project, and those zombie folks were the results, or side effects of.
