Great video Tim. I run Husqvarna equipment all day everyday for 4 years now, i have the RJD split shaft version and just cant fault these machines for reliability and durability
I have the bullbar version of this one. Great unit with good speed if you use a small 375 head and 2.4 or 2.7mm MAX. That way it spins fast and isnt bogged down. I like the stihl but the Husky edges it out I reckon.
Great video and reviews. I used my recently purchased 525 for the 1st time today. A couple of reviews on TH-cam said it doesn't work for edging. I found no issue with edging. Noticed neither did you folks. But off topic question. Will the Aussies make it to a semi-final in 2023 rugby world cup. :) from Springboks.
I've been using the 525LST with speed feed as my daily driver for mowing jobs for a year now. It feels mint and doesn't tax my arms. It feels so good at low and high revs. I'll be swapping to an Ego multi tool soon, I wonder how it'll compare. Also beware of carbon build-up in the exhaust port. If you favour low revs it'll fill up quicker than others.
How’s that ego comparing? If you didn’t buy it yet definitely go with the rear motor units like the power head you mentioned or the straight shaft rear motor
@@kelkev85 yep loving the Ego Multi tool for the last 5 months. I have only one negative and that is the stiffness of the throttle trigger. After an hour or two using it my fingers get tired. The new powerhead coming out soon will fix that. Should be in Aus in the next couple of months. Once I got my Ego gear the only Petrol machine I've grabbed for a job is my mower. On every other piece of equipment the Ego version is just objectively better for me.
Thoughts on Husqvarna petrol push mowers mate?, just purchased an entry level one and find it pretty underwhelming for the price. Lack of power and catcher hard to put on. I feel like a Victa from Bunnings for the same price would have been better value for money.
grouse video on the review of the Husqvarna aka Husky 525LST there Tim mate and yep she performs and cuts well to what your showing us and yep if it,s a good made in Sweden tool well your god all your good sounds covered including the musical band known as Abba and yep i say trim and edge to that one like their song Waterloo (1974) and yep the two somehow together make a good combination but yeah all good in culture on both ends i say etc.
I know that it’s a Shindaiwa but I don’t know what model of Shindaiwa it is. Can you please ask the person who was doing his edges what model of Shindaiwa it is and get back to me on that?
@@davidjaskiewicz3461 The difference is that the gear box ratio is different. Allows for higher torque in the cut so you can power thru heavier grass, and the drive shaft is apparently different too and more balanced I hear... Never used the first model so couldn't say definitely..

Thanks for the demo!
Thanks for watching everything 🙌

I definitely haven’t had an issue edging with it. Surely they will make it!
We would give the 524 now 525 approximately 5 hours per day and still get up to 5 years from them. Great machines

walked into an outdoor equipment store and seen half the toys there were electric, dreading the day its all battery powered

Looks like it does a good job at cutting the long stuff and the short stuff and also what trimmer head do you think does better at cut the grass?
This string trimmer staying on your truck as your main go to, says a lot for this product.
Husqvarna makes a speed feed head to
This model being a torque head model, do you think the lower rpm’s it puts out will still be able to run the .105 line without bogging down?

Haven’t tried any yet. I’ve asked but nothing yet.
I torn between this and a fs94r, I'd go the stihl as I already have a fs240r which I love but I've heard reliability issues with the 94r
Stihl is just the brand now. They make them in China. The FS38 is a perfect example . Its a household machine but can break within a year.
They are a little underpowered but they are light, I’m full rpms all the time still bogs down. I’m used to Honda 37cc 4 stroke but damn heavy machine.
Any recommendations/ preferred speed feed head?

Any chance of reviewing the Black and Decker 18V Strimmer 28cm?

I have noticed you don’t really use Honda equipment. Any reason?UMK425 is a beast.
I used to use the Honda but it’s just far too heavy for everyday commercial work
what s head did you change?

What is difference between 525Lst and 525LST mark 2 ?
I’m not sure to be honest! Mine doesn’t say mark 2
Mark 2 is a better model, made a lot of improvements
@@chenas what kind of improvements , if you know?

Why do you wear a respirator mask?
Have you ever hit a dead hedgehog with a trimmer? :) Yet it might be just allergy.
Can’t figure out how to take off the stock head 💀
It’s left hand thread(righty loosey, lefty tighty), maybe this will help someone since this comment is a year old.
