It really does. And then you remember than Dudley wasn't happy with just 37, his mother had to offer to buy 2 more presents when they went out and you're ready to smack the fat off the brat. (Dudley not Harry. Lol.Harry probably didn't have any fat anyway given how scrawny he was)

Hagrid can cast spells without talking, which is considered a skill of a high talent Wizard. Hagrid was hiding his powerlevel all along.
It is mentioned in the second book in more detail: Harris had been a student, but had his wand snapped in his third year.
Yeah the best part is his umbrella is made with pieces of his snapped in half wand. Plus he was third year when he was expelled.
Thats a plot point. He got in trouble for being accused of something tom riddle did, and wasnt allowed to practice magic, so he kept his want in his umbrella and just practiced magic anyway under dumbledores protection
If he hadn't been expelled he could've been one of the best

Hagrid was a very good man. Nicer than Albus dumbledore. Albus at times could be an asshole. Snape was tough, but i thought he was cooler than albus.

I love how Hagrid immediately threatens Dursley because he knows that these people have been treating his boy so badly, he instantly hates them. That Is so sweet how much he loves and protects Harry, who is not even his son, but fell in love with so quickly like a son
That and I don't think Hagrid appreciates having a gun pointed at him either.

@@Yabuturtle in the book, it is explained that Harry must stay with his aunt during all his childhood because the house where Petunia leaves contain Lily’s blood and therefore the protection of Harry can work for anyone who will tried to kidnap/kill him aside from Voldemort

Yeah. Also also I heard that Robin Williams was cast to play Hagrid for the role. But according to Rowling, there was a rule of filming the movies, actors and actresses who were American, were *STRICTLY* prohibited 🚫 for the films. They had to be British *ONLY*

I always loved the look of unease on Petunia's face at 2:22. She didn't look at all surprised, more like she knew what was going on.

If you have seen professor snape flashback petunia was in it as a kid and most likely her husband attended hogwarts school they may have at some point decided to have a normal life without magic after hogwarts otherwise why else would vernon react negatively to the letter of hogwarts school and go to great lengths to keep Harry from going to hogwarts school plus they didn’t react that surprised when hagrid shooted fireballs at the fireplace so they must have know the existence of magic

This is one of my fav scene. Harry finally had a proper cake on his birthday and someone who cares for him-after being mistreated. Hagrid is also my fav character, he's like a father to Harry. I'm so glad he didn't die.
Harry: "Make a wish, Harry."
Hagrid: *bursts through door.* "Wish? Did somebody say "Wish?"

These early HP films had such a wonderful ambience to them, like something great was around the corner.
That was until the series became more darker and that the story ultimately become a Great War

It took her great time to make, she was also young and desired to make a story.
Took her 5 years.
The attention to details she put into HP was what made the book series truly great.

He probley couldn't open it properley or it was locked and he thought it was stuck so he forced it open. It can be easy to brake things when your that big. My childhood was made awesome by a boy who never had one. I feel heartbroken whenever I think that harry spent all his birthdays alone and he would've imagined how it would've been different if his parents were still around. The way he drew that birthday cake and waited till midnight to wish himself, I have been there and trust me it feels awful. Harry potter was an epic movie and is close to my heart.

I cried at this. I cried at Harry's firsts in the Wizarding World. I cried because he was emotionally abused at Privet Drive and was finally living a life with friends and people who actually cared for him. I was too emotional for this franchise. Thanks JK Rowling.

I love Hagrid. He's so funny and sweet to everyone. He's also strong. Bending a shotgun barrel isn't very easy
He couldn't have bent the gun like that, for the same reason Robocop couldn't have bent the barrel of the gun of the guy robbing the mom-and-pop store in his movie. For that to be possible the guy holding the gun would have to be as strong as the guy bending the barrel.
Nah, he just holds and bends the cannon with the same hand, like holding and pushing with the thumb but with all the hand.
