My dad had one in the same colour as this one back in the seventees. He bought it second and was in perfect condition. Fond memories of the overdrive boost!
It's good to see one of these. They were so stylish in their day but for some reason they were not that popular and they are now as rare as the proverbial hens' teeth!
I had a Rapier H120 and a Hunter GLS and several other Rapier fastbacks. Oh, and an Avenger Tiger and a Sunbeam Stiletto and a Sunbeam Imp Sport😮wish I had em now☹️😖😞
you will still need spacers for the nuts to tighten, whether they have balance weights or smooth they are still dished it makes no difference, you need weights
@@paulmarshall9239 I know spacers are still needed but clearing the balance weights as well leaves hardly any threads to safely tighten down the nuts, I think later Arrow cars had no balance weights
@@thefloorkillermy 1975Hunter 1725 super has Rostyle type wheels made by Dunlop & there's no spacers or weights riveted to the drums- these are 5 J wheels that were fitted to the 1974Avenger Sunseeker & Capri 1600 specials from '71 & '72. & There's no wheel or transmission vibration !
I had a H120 in Wardance Orange back in the eighties.. God I wish I had it now..

The reason they were not popular was because they are unreliable starters as daily drivers and rust buckets. worse car i have ever owned
Looks a great car 😊
I remember that gurgling engine well
We had a couple of Roots Group products many years ago but unfortunately not a Rapier., worse luck ! but an Alpine was amongst them.
How's it going? Is it up for sale yet? I'm more than very keen on these cars? Is red the original colour? Questions, questions .......
Latest one I've seen only s8ngoe carburettor available at end 9f 1975
Very nice👍
In runs the most important thing

Avenger tiger 😮 bloody love them, my mate had one and pit a webasto roof in it, it collapsed lost all its structural integrity
@@reubendobbs8011 really?? The roof panel should not affect anything.
Had a ride in an avenger tiger mid 70’s , total weapon!
Great to see one of these again. Very good car in the day. Shame about the videography, made me feel dizzy.
Regards from Allan
apologies, i fix cars i dont make televison! thanks for watching rgds Paul
Wouldn't mind some rear brake drums without balance weights so I could fit my Ford rostyle wheels to mine

its not a H120 its a normal rapier with a Holbay lump stuck in it. That was very normal in the 1980s and 90s to do that
Yes, wrong grille and standard bootlid. Should have Sundym glass. Still nice though 😊
