Nobody at City complained he didn’t make subs. And not having subs is our issue. @ Yes, Palmer drifted to the left once during the first half but that was on the counter and Palmer was very close to the keeper (he was literally in the square inside the penalty box). Also, the ball went through the defender’s legs when he tried to block it. You can’t replicate goals like that often. But ideally, a left footed player cannot get as many goals playing on the left. Observations : - Complacency is the theme after scoring the 1st goal. It is like we just stop playing. Intensity drop is too much. - Missing clinical finishing. We should have been 4 up in the 1st half. Same against Fulham. - Since Villa game, wingers & wingback have not been effective. It seems they are not involved or get caught out easily. - Enzo in the midfield is completely useless. Plays the safe pass around, does not have the vision to spot players, extremely poor in track backing and defensive capabilities, below average attacking input. He takes too much time on the ball & kills the attacks alot. - Caicedo is handling the midfield alone and I am afraid an injury is around the corner for him. Enzo is very bad in defensive qualities. - If Enzo persists with Enzo, I hope he atleast pays Felix in place of Enzo Fernandes. Atleast he will be better in attacking inputs.
My main positive from this game was that Josh and Levi can be the cb partnership we have been looking for, i love wes fofana but he just cant stay fit for long periods. Frustrating game but at least we didnt lose.
@ i get your scepticism, but I have been crying out for Josh to get starts since he signed this new contract and when the contract debacle was going on i was preaching for the club to get it sorted because the guy is a top level prospect. Hopefully he can keep top performances up but i can assure u if he drops one bad game I will not turn on him.
So sorry to hear you and georgie had to go through that today, hope you’re both ok and it’s much appreciated you’ve taken the time out to do this video - you didn’t have too and don’t feel pressured. Chin up George 💙
I have said it before, last season is on repeat. Jackson couldn't score from Mid December to February (missed only 2 games) and he really doesn't look like scoring now.
I think the players are getting demoralised with keep creating good chances with no end product, when Jackson had that strange run of actually scoring goals all was well. It's almost like they think there's no point in the effort for nothing at the end of it.
Sorry to hear about the home burgle mate. I think you are spot on about Cole Palmer, N Jackson and Maresca. Methinks Maresca has been found out. Chelsea should be prepared to go through what happened to him at Leicester as long as he is our Manager. It's shocking that in 4 'easy' (easy in inverted commas), we only could get 2pts! It's annoying! Guess what, I think it's all on Maresca. He needs to do better. This is Chelsea!
I have observed something from the Fulham game to now. If Maresca doesn’t change we’re not winning games anymore. We start very well in the first half when Palmer is playing through the middle and switching to right half space to receive line breaking passes, which is our creative strength. Then boom! second half Maresca switches Palmer to left half space and Enzo to the right half space which make us rely on long balls and crosses. That’s our serious weakness cos we don’t have a strong striker to wrestle defenders to win crosses as well as poor long balls from our keeper. When I saw that today in the second half I knew we’ll loose or draw cos we’ve lost our creativity to score again. With such a porous defense, you need creative players in their best positions to score to discourage opponents. Maresca is to blame !!!
Sanchez is so frustrating he makes two great saves in the first half a great saving the second half but it's distribution of the ball is absolutely diabolical 11-year-old school footballers could do better come on this ain't from a number one goalie we need a new number one badly keep saying it CFC for life and we need a new number nine I said Jackson is only 23 he's evolving he's nowhere near the real deal yet two or three more years to see and start to really progress and hopefully he can bring more consistency to his game and put away his chances if it ain't this problem it's that problem if it ain't that problem with him it's this problem with him but he is progressing but you should also be putting chances away the second chance he had in the game for us man you should have scored that no problem and when you look at the how many chances we actually had on target ridiculous disgusting we should be having way more shots on goal that's why I would have started with a Spanish strike I just think Jackson is a little bit out of form he may need to be dropped so he gets a good kick up the ass for a couple of games who have we got up next the next two games I think are Bournemouth and wolves before Manchester City that's going to be a game we must win the next two games before we play city as we cannot drop out of the top four which is looking more and more likely as the week to go by crazy we're going backwards again now we have to see this manager earn his money. sort it out please. PS we score one and it seems we're frightened to go and get the second and the third and kill the game off or are we just unlucky 4 games now we can't be unlucky in all four games CFC for life JK West London man
Guiu’s energy could have been used earlier to shake things up. Acheampong was good on defense, but lacking in moving forward. He did lateral or back passes too many times. Our passing was poor, turning over the ball too many times. At this rate, top four will be a struggle as those ahead of us will be pulling away and those behind us are now right on our heels.
I don't wanna hear anymore Jackson is better than Nkunku/Giui BS any more. None of them are performing well, the difference is that Jackson has had over a year and a half to cook and is still this bad, he does nothing that the other 2 don't, difference is they havn't had the opportunities or game time to develop, Jackson just ain't it and has once again cost us points. secondly Maresca can take the rest of the blame, his stubborness and refusal to switch up the shape or style even when it is clear his style has been truly found out is nothing short of Pochetino-esque. He needs to sort it out or we will be hearing Maresca out before long. The only thing that is gonna get us top 4 this year is if Palmer turns it back on, Lavia comes back from injury and we start winning the midfield battle again and if James comes back in and takes this defence in hand, otherwise we are French Connection UK'd
I think the whole “not in the title race” “we aren’t ready to win the title” didn’t help mentality or intensity. I remember when Lampard got sacked the first time around he was saying “we aren’t ready to win a Champion’s League”, then Tuchel came in with a winning mentality and we won. What your coach says does make a difference.
Josh was brilliant I said play him a couple of months ago he should never have been kicked out of the bloody first team squad in the first place but at least he signed a contract till 2029
Before Maresca starts bleating about the chances we created he should concern himself with the said chances we missed.Lets face it, Jackson couldn’t hit a cow’s arse with a banjo. We desperately need a proper 9. We need to stop getting caught in possession by being big time. Nice to see a defender coming out at pace rather than the walking football we usually see.
It’s easy to say it’s Cole Palmer. Our goal keeper had space to give the ball to Cucurella at the top, but because we don’t know how to manage a game, he plays the ball to Cole Palmer, forcing him to try and wiggle out of space but doesn’t. Even the previous Fullham, he plays that unnecessary long ball which is intercepted. Why does he need to do that when we’re a goal up
@@akachied4166 😹😹Did he really?? I don’t recall not a single line breaking pass, no long ball he made today that was successful. Maybe we were watching two different games or I was high on something
Palmer does not deserve a yellow. Yes, he conceded the goal, but you have to look at everything else he did. Not only did he get us our goal but he created so many chances this game. 5 to be exact and I remember a lot of them very clearly. There was a nice ball he played towards jackson but he sends it wide. He delivered the perfect cross for Acheampong but he also puts it wide and there was another chance where Palmer opens up the space for Enzo and deilvers him a pass that allows a shot outside the box. Palmer did his damn best this game but these people can't finish to save their lives. He was playing for the full 90. Of couse he was going to get tired eventually. Maresca deserves a lot of the blame for not taking him off sooner. He did his job as a no.10 perfectly but our players never convert. Giving him a yellow is something I do not agree with at all.
It’s a DIY job where you are the project manager and you strip your own house down, wash, then use a chemical seal on the concrete. Or, find a house near you that is totally clean and ask them how they kept it clean.
Things I Learned: 1. It's a shame that our best defender, probably the best player of the match was a debutant who was being played out of position. 2. Our best player Palmer needs to be alleviated of the responsibility given to him, which is to kill the game. 3. We need a more cruel striker, whose conversion rate is at least better than those we currently have 4. We need to recall Chalobah
It really felt like after our goal we sort of switched off. I think we should change things up next week, feels like we always have the same line up which leads to tired players and less effort
There is a touch of the 'Souhgates' with Maresca. I listened to the commentary and it was obvious that Palace would score. It would be nice to see some earlier changes to increase our desire and intensity and look to create more. However, Jackson needs to put away his chances!!
Sorry you’re going through it right now George with both Chelsea and your personal life. I hope for your sake (and selfishly also mine lol) that both start going in the right direction soon! Glad for now that you were able to at least retrieve your belongings and give that guy the justice he deserves
We need to be scoring tap ins , scrappy goals, goals from corners, set pieces etc. Our goals right now are work of art, which look good on the yes but we can only score so many of those.
Right from the first time Nicholas Jackson came to Chelsea, I made it clear that with him as the main striker, Chelsea will not win any match when it matters most. I also said that Robert Sanchez is in the same category with Nicholas Jackson. I will be willing to help Chelsea in technical and tactical matters
Bcoz of ‘We are not in the title race’ instead of getting rid of pressure, it also affected the winning mentality of players. Enzo is partly at fault for squad selection. Select players and play them out of position. Italian follows the style of Ranieri aka Tinkerman.
Happy for Jash starting. He did pretty well, maybe he could be more aggressive with interceptions. Overall Blues were sleepy on the ball, silly mistakes and nothing on the attack. From around 60th minutes I was pretty sure we gona lose. Very poor performance in the last few matches. I really hope for top 4 at the end of the season
Tough, personal challenges. Crowd wanted Acheampong and sub Guiu, and they got it. Good game until the turnover. Still time to recover, but did not step-up enough. Next game at home. Any other changes?
Let me tell you we’re never going to finish top 4 this season. It’s a disgrace how Maresca always brags about the position Chelsea is right now. We as fans deserve much more.
Maybe it is just me, but i feel like Maresca insisting on telling everyone at every opportunity that “we are not ready, we are not there, we are not in a titlerace etc etc” is part of the reason the players have started to slack off. Instead of just trying to keep the positive momentum going, and telling the press things like “we will see at the end of the season, we will fight and push as hard as we can etc etc”. It looks to me that the “we are not ready” mentality have crept into the players minds now and it is showing in the performances. 😢
As long as Jackson remains our no.9 half chances will never be coverted and a few clear chances will continue to be wasted. We need a top 9, great and experienced defender and another midfielder.
The only positive from the game is Acheampong who played well. As long as the coach makes some players untouchable, they will burn out soon and Chelsea will struggle to win a game. What a shame
Why do Chelsea managers consistently fail to fully utilize their squad and make the most of their substitutions? This issue has been a recurring theme under Conte, Mourinho, and Tuchel, all of whom seemed to share a stubborn approach. It’s even more frustrating now with the option to make up to five substitutions per game, yet this opportunity still goes underutilized.
Cole Palmer is holding Chelsea back. No wonder Nkunku and Felix can't perform. Useless Last week, Disasi made an error, and he was fried We forget that there's a culprit among the Chelsea players, and that's Cole Palmer Keep depending solely on him, and you will go nowhere Maresca is as clueless as ever Well, Leicester City fans warned us

All these stuff we seing now..was there since the last season...main issue is that we are throwing away so many chances..we are no clinical and not serious in front of the ball...and we pay for it..who remember game against Leicester? I was watching it, and I thought we will win this game by scoring 10 goals ..but so many opportunities just wasted..we were lucky to win that game narrowly..
It was like a deja vu for Fulham game..scored 1 goal brilliant, all good...then..dissappear and just waiting for Palace to score...IDK why this is happening..I was not able to watch the game only checked stats..2nd half till 65th minute we did not had a single shot..that's where I knew it's not going 2 end well..we had 0 Shots on target 2nd half...
We had a good run of games that flattered us but I think what we’re seeing now is the real Chelsea. We clearly aren’t anywhere where we need to be and even a top 4 finish will be a struggle for us now. Need to make some big signings next window. We need a RB, CB, GK and a striker that can score consistently urgently.
Please sign a centre forward, a 9 in the box. Jackson is good but he makes a lot of mistakes in this game. Because of his mistakes we didn't get the 3 points. Please sign a 9 like Benjamin Sesko from RB Laizip or Igor Matanovich from Eintract Frankfurt.
We’ve learnt how far this team is from success. The lack of mentality and awareness is criminal. Maresca is seriously culpable for starting Acheampong out of position and not switching things up (Tosin on for Gusto) to see out the game…
With striker like our, no coach can deliver consistent results. Yes coach needs to adapt but you will always have such games where striker can only win games….remember Costa, drogba? Jackson can flourish when things are going good as a whole but in tight matches you can’t rely him to score that killer goal. At this rate no chance of top 4…but let’s hope we turn this around
Am I wrong in thinking we've just been dealing with a lot of serious low blocks and it's not so much that a team had figured out Chelsea or Maresca's system, but Chelsea still haven't figured out how to break a low block? And, honestly low blocks in general in the prem are tough to break down? Maybe I'm trying to find the positives too much but maybe not...

Told you after Everton, Maresca getting too big for his boots
1. Jackson RED BOX
2. Maresca RED BOX
3. Gusto YELLOW BOX
4. Sanchez YELLOW BOX
5. Palmer YELLOW BOX
6. Acheampong GREEN BOX
The coach needs to realise you need to use at least 4 subs, and dont wait until 80 mins
Hang in there George! It has to get better. Well done for keeping with giving us content.
Observations :
- Complacency is the theme after scoring the 1st goal.
Good point but Felix will be worse in that position
My main positive from this game was that Josh and Levi can be the cb partnership we have been looking for, i love wes fofana but he just cant stay fit for long periods. Frustrating game but at least we didnt lose.
You say this after one game but when Josh drops a stinker the whole rhetoric will change. Josh was decent but he was very rarely tested
@@elliotjones7996 that’s fair I also want him to succeed
1 thing we learned for sure - chelsea from last season are BACK
Mate ur off ur rocker we’re NOT completely
I would say we’re playing more like 22/23
We need a real striker, at least 1 new CB and a GK
GBFC Turned into GBPC. Glad you got your stuff back broski
So sorry to hear you and georgie had to go through that today, hope you’re both ok and it’s much appreciated you’ve taken the time out to do this video - you didn’t have too and don’t feel pressured. Chin up George 💙
Hang in there Benson! Thank you for the content
I have said it before, last season is on repeat. Jackson couldn't score from Mid December to February (missed only 2 games) and he really doesn't look like scoring now.
That is horrible to hear about your home George, hope you are able to get everything stolen back!
Simple we need to buy a clinical striker
Our manager needs to make subs, omg
We have been found out. Teams are putting 2 men on our wingers so we need more creative players. I suggest Madueke over Neto and we need to play Felix
Yeah he just needs to rotate a little bit, not play the same lineup every game, Felix and nkunku are being mugged off, not surprised if they leave
I think the players are getting demoralised with keep creating good chances with no end product, when Jackson had that strange run of actually scoring goals all was well. It's almost like they think there's no point in the effort for nothing at the end of it.
Maresca is to be blamed
PS we score one and it seems we're frightened to go and get the second and the third and kill the game off or are we just unlucky 4 games now we can't be unlucky in all four games CFC for life JK West London man
Well done George. Great detective work!!
Jackson cost us this game, simply not good enough 😪
Guiu’s energy could have been used earlier to shake things up. Acheampong was good on defense, but lacking in moving forward. He did lateral or back passes too many times.
Our passing was poor, turning over the ball too many times.
At this rate, top four will be a struggle as those ahead of us will be pulling away and those behind us are now right on our heels.
Now let's get us a real Striker
Happy new year GBfc
Wish Nkunku wasn’t injured last season, he woulda been a definite starter
However good to see you bro❤
I think the whole “not in the title race” “we aren’t ready to win the title” didn’t help mentality or intensity. I remember when Lampard got sacked the first time around he was saying “we aren’t ready to win a Champion’s League”, then Tuchel came in with a winning mentality and we won.
What your coach says does make a difference.
Josh was brilliant I said play him a couple of months ago he should never have been kicked out of the bloody first team squad in the first place but at least he signed a contract till 2029
Josh played well though put of position, Cole Palmer was quiet in the second half
Well played Acheampong great full debut
Why does he need to do that when we’re a goal up
Chill, you forget the 3-4 excellent line breaking passes he made to Palmer in the first half.
@@akachied4166 😹😹Did he really?? I don’t recall not a single line breaking pass, no long ball he made today that was successful. Maybe we were watching two different games or I was high on something
Spot on again mate.
Whats going on
Goerge from the U.S. I'm glad you were able to get everything back.
Take some time to sort things out. Take it easy. We can wait for the content. Love your stuff.
That burglar must be an Arsenal fan
I am happy about the performance of the team because it shows that we need to get a striker.
It’s a DIY job where you are the project manager and you strip your own house down, wash, then use a chemical seal on the concrete. Or, find a house near you that is totally clean and ask them how they kept it clean.
Things I Learned:
1. It's a shame that our best defender, probably the best player of the match was a debutant who was being played out of position.
2. Our best player Palmer needs to be alleviated of the responsibility given to him, which is to kill the game.
3. We need a more cruel striker, whose conversion rate is at least better than those we currently have
4. We need to recall Chalobah
Late subs and never willing to sub Palmer is a head scratcher for sure, glad we saw Josh and Marc at least
Everything is ok in this team just needed Gyokeres & Araujo that’s it
It really felt like after our goal we sort of switched off.
No mudryk -no win :). Since Mydryk out - no win for Chelsea!
Praying for you benson. Keep your head up
Maybe it is just me, but i feel like Maresca insisting on telling everyone at every opportunity that “we are not ready, we are not there, we are not in a titlerace etc etc” is part of the reason the players have started to slack off. Instead of just trying to keep the positive momentum going, and telling the press things like “we will see at the end of the season, we will fight and push as hard as we can etc etc”.
It looks to me that the “we are not ready” mentality have crept into the players minds now and it is showing in the performances. 😢
You are spot on, if you tell players often enough that they are not ready, or good enough, they will react negatively and adopt
a loser mentality.
@ yeah i never liked he kept taking that route.
Gusto was also good today.
Useless
Last week, Disasi made an error, and he was fried
We forget that there's a culprit among the Chelsea players, and that's Cole Palmer
Keep depending solely on him, and you will go nowhere
Maresca is as clueless as ever
Well, Leicester City fans warned us
Josh Acheompong what a player💪
He's got to make subs. And notice when the studs are gassed. The points being dropped are on him, Maresca. That is.
I hope Marasca is not another Graham potter 😢
After Chelsea miss out Top 4, there will be no Maresca after June!
Maresca is tr###....wait and see... By the end of the season.... he's been figured out...what great achievement does he have than pochettino.."poor game management...not really want to buy a top CB.gk.strk....leicester fans warned us ....wait and see no wins In January...
@@magicstick9880 I Agree with you 💯
Did anyone see the match? I could only get a replay of Fulham.
sensing some weird energy towards Maressa guys slow down
All these stuff we seing now..was there since the last season...main issue is that we are throwing away so many chances..we are no clinical and not serious in front of the ball...and we pay for it..who remember game against Leicester? I was watching it, and I thought we will win this game by scoring 10 goals ..but so many opportunities just wasted..we were lucky to win that game narrowly..
It was like a deja vu for Fulham game..scored 1 goal brilliant, all good...then..dissappear and just waiting for Palace to score...IDK why this is happening..I was not able to watch the game only checked stats..2nd half till 65th minute we did not had a single shot..that's where I knew it's not going 2 end well..we had 0 Shots on target 2nd half...
I can’t believe players don’t take there own initiative, Hense Sanchez should have just kicked it long at 1 0 up and on 82 mins
Some times enzo maresca is not sharp enough in making subs and changing tactics
Maresca from a Coach who would make changes at half time, he is now failing to make substitute... We are struggling because of Enzo Maresca
What do you mean tosin?
You watched tosin in this defence lately
With striker like our, no coach can deliver consistent results. Yes coach needs to adapt but you will always have such games where striker can only win games….remember Costa, drogba? Jackson can flourish when things are going good as a whole but in tight matches you can’t rely him to score that killer goal. At this rate no chance of top 4…but let’s hope we turn this around
The Enzo problem is he doesn’t substitute players as they get tired always silly man Enzo M 😢
The missing link is Lavia... Caicedo and Palmer are losing possession easily in that midfield
We will suffer without a striker o...they should buy Osimhen o
