Anytime you lane split, you give up all right of way to every other vehicle on the road. I used to work at a district court and every so often we would have motorcyclists come in whining how it was unfair that they got ticketed for an accident. The first question the judge would ask was,”were you lane splitting?” Usually they would say yes. Then the judge would explain why they were at fault. And that lane splitting is illegal in the state. Then they would reduce the fine to five dollars. (From $180) The motorcyclist would leave, still angry but not as angry as they came in and hopefully a little wiser than they came in.
I'm almost 74 years old. Folks of my generation remember a time when cars were made of steel, and a 5 mph collision didn't result in $1500 worth of damages...to each car involved. And as far as cars rolling over? That just didn't happen.
Many drivers do not deserve a drivers licence, and maybe they drive unallowed without licence and even without insurance . Keep distance and drive no faster than permitted . Have respect for other people on the road . bikers en people on feet have to take care too. A human life is much more worth.
I've got no sympathy for bikers speeding between traffic.
Am I the only one shocked by seeing a child get hit by the car and tossed in the air like a ragdoll and almost get ran over by another car???😳
