    Great tutorial! Helped me out in a pinch, now we're all ready to go with a kid's Fireball Mario hat and an adult Waluigi hat -- and I loved how you measured the circles. That will be a game changer for me :) Thanks so much!

    This is an awesome video! Made two hats and now sussed for my costume party. Did a bit more hand sewing then the video and only 12” but worked a gem. Cheers

    Any suggestions on how to get the bill to stay up(not flop)? Thank you so much for your easy instructions and for sharing, it was very fun to make 😀

    • @OlgaLing
      @OlgaLing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh yes. It's call stabilizer or some people may call it interfacing. But there are different stiffness levels of stabilizers. A heavy or firm will be very stiff so i would go for a medium weight. So when doing the bill step after you turn the bill part right side out you insert the stabilizer in then baste stitch it to keep it in place.
      I hope this info helps. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    I am about to make these hats fornmy two toddler boys. I would love to know if the measurements are accurate for the toddler hat, i happened to noticed they are almost identical to the childrens hat. I love your tutorial and cannot wait to make these for my boys. Any info would be wonderful and greatly appreciated.

    • @OlgaLing
      @OlgaLing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From my experience they are. Head measurements are only inches difference so I would say if they are normal kids size yes you are good. My daughter wasn't even a toddler and she fit the toddler hat, but she and has always been above 90% with her height so they should be good. If you post them #olgalinglove I would love to check them out.

    Easy pz! I got this. Oh I don't have a sewing machine, or know how to sew, or cut on the dotted line. Fuuuuudggge. Except I didn't say fudge.

    I need to make 5 for work. How much would you say each cost to make? I have to make 2 mario, 1 luigi, 1 wario, and 1 waluigi

    • @OlgaLing
      @OlgaLing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. I appreciate the question but that would greatly depend on where you are going to buy it from? Sale price? Coupon? Tax rate? Sorry that wasn't the info you were looking for. If you do make them and post a pic on social media please #olgalinglove so I can see your work. Thanks so much.

    would this fit adult heads of all sizes? im trying to make this for my boyfriend who's a bit larger than most

    • @OlgaLing
      @OlgaLing  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      A rough Yes. I have an "normal" sized head and it fits perfect. But if you know your BF has a larger head you can cut out a 6.25"(slightly bigger) or 6.5" (big) circle from one of the 13" circles to give him room. Hope this helps.

    I'm going to try making these with no sewing machine, no stencils, and poor lighting. And, to fit 2 kittens. Wish me luck.

    How did you get your mustache to stick?

    • @OlgaLing
      @OlgaLing  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I drew it on with a cheap eyeliner, bad thing about that is I forgot about it a rubbed it. But if you want to use fabric or some other mustache you can use the glue that women use to put on their false eyelashes. I've used that for other costumes. Thanks for watching.

    can we use super glue? lol I don't have a sewing machine and my arthritis will suck hand sewing these but I need for my sons bday. let me know if anyone's tried? ty

    • @OlgaLing
      @OlgaLing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't tried gluing. But I do think fabric glue, being as precise as possible, and allowing sufficient time to dry in between each step should work perfectly fine. Allowing it to dry I think is more key. I say fabric glue only because glue can be picky sometimes and I am not sure super glue will like the fibers that come off felt. Hope it works out for you. Thanks for watching. God bless.
