    Hi Josh. Thanks so much for all the effort you put in and your commitment to helping test takers.
    So, I want to ask sth about this AI scoring machine....I mean, I understand that on the Mock test, it is ok to have an AI helper for scoring the result but I am pretty skeptical about the actual test scoring by the AI on the real TOEFL TEST.... because first;
    1- to be honest, what kind of algorithms are used or which AI developer/company that the ETS is getting help from, is just unknown.... it is clear that every AI developing company is using very different rules and coding methods. What is more, the data sets they are using to develop or enhance their AI engines or programs are very diverse and come from very diverse sources. I mean how reliable this way of AI scoring is in the actual TOEFL TEST? we all know that AI companies are relentlessly after as much data as possible to improve their AI programs, even before their AI programs are capable or ready to be launched....
    2- Is our real score on the actual TOEFL TEST going to be given/scored or evaluated only by AI or only by educated test teacher or by both?

    • @TSTPrep
      @TSTPrep  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there and thank you for your thoughful comment. Of course, ETS doesn't release information about their algorithms for security reasons, but speaking and writing responses are still graded by AI and human graders.

    Please, last time I took the test, most speakers who talked in the listening section had a hard_hearing voice, like a baseline in music, low frequency, I bearly heard what that very old man's voice, and even that female student was saying 😢 what should I do next time .?

    • @TSTPrep
      @TSTPrep  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you very much for your question. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about the voice in the listening section. The best way to understand it better is do expose yourself to as many practice tests as possible so you can get used to this style and cadence.

    Hi! If in the reading practice test I get the estimate score of 18-23, how can I know which will be the score in the real test? Because I don't know if it is closest to 18 or to 30, and I need to get 24. So I don´t know if I should take the test in 5 days or not yet. Hope I explained myself. Thank you for your support. Josh you are an excellent teacher. I have the same question of the other sections.

    • @TSTPrep
      @TSTPrep  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there and thank you for asking. Unfortunately, there is no way to predict how you will perform on the real test. Here is a link to our practice tests with answer keys and grading rubrics to help you determine your estimated score. - drive.google.com/file/d/1WNfW5woOuxuER7FD5jfxe9MxMhuOsA_c/view There are also some other TH-cam channels with TOEFL Reading practice, I would try them as well to see how you do. Either way, good luck on your test, and let us know how it goes.

    Hi! I would like to ask if the time of the listenings (3-5min each) is also considered in the 36 total minutes? or the time is "paused" when the full listening is being played?

    • @TSTPrep

      You will have 36 minutes in total, this includes listening to lectures or conversations and answering the questions.

    • @TSTPrep
      @TSTPrep  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there and good question. It depends on the proctor since there is no explicit rule that says you can not do that. I believe it is okay. With that being said, I would try to limit reading aloud if possible just to avoid any issues.

    Hey josh! I wanted to ask u that the numbers shown after giving ETS test are by writing like ur unofficial numbers reading 13and listening16 are the final numbers which will be shown at the end of exam

    • @TSTPrep
      @TSTPrep  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question. The "unofficial" score is a score you get for the reading and listening sections after you complete the exam. It is "unofficial" because ETS has to double-check it before they send out your "official" scores by mail or email 7 business days later. Usually, the unofficial and official scores are the same, though.

    First of all, thanks Josh I really appreciate it.
    Toefl is getting beaten by ielts cuz of this they try to do marketing. Toefl is nonsense it includes 12 subjects who is the master of all science. You people may say that toefl tests your English not your knowledge, it is completely wrong if you don't have good science dont take toefl go give a try on ielts. Ielts is the best!
