Fun fact on that BattleTech cartoon, it is actually considered cannon in the BattleTech universe, as in-universe propaganda made by the Tharkad Broadcasting Company. (An example of this is that Clan OmniMechs had different names to what the Inner Sphere called them. The two primary examples are Malthus and Redmond calling the Thor, really called a Summoner, and the Vulture, really called the Mad Dog. Makes no sense except as propaganda for FedCom worlds) Yeah, I am that big of nerd on the lore for it, and if I really cut loose, you would probably ask if there was a way to block TH-cam commentors.
I'd watch orbital bacon all the time...butt...you know....I can't stop thinking I really want some bacon right now 🥲🥰 Bacon and Cartoons will be my next tatt🥓🥓👻👀
Man, the stuff they got away with in the The Tick cartoon... Here's Arthur telling the gang about a dream he had: "So I was back in my old accounting office, except it was all... weird. And I was getting this performance review from Mr. Weiderspahn, only... he wasn't Mr. Weiderspahn. He was like a... a woman! Or a cat! And it was saying, 'We have reviewed your performance and have found it to be flaccid and disappointing.' And that's when I realized I wasn't wearing any pants."
I remember not liking The Tick much as a kid and now I see why! I love this show now, the writing was definitely geared more towards an older audience.
@@OrbitalBacon There's the obvious wacky stuff like The Midnight Bomber What Bombs At Midnight, but maaaaaaaan, they would go to places that sail right over the heads of kids. There was the time The Tick gets smacked into orbit by a Hulk clown (never honk a Hulk clown's nose), and he goes on a mental journey of self-discovery as he flies through the air, unconscious. At one point, he's wrestling a giant Freudian snake, and as they're going at it, the giant snake stops, looks him in the eye, and says, "You don't date much, do ya?" The artwork is awful, but the writing it hilarious.
My fsmily was pretty poor, didnt own a nintendo till it had been out for a very long time. Had a Atari 2600 and there was always games popping up at the local DAV. It was a blast tho Spider Fighter was the familys favorite game Mom & Dad would both play it for hours with us kids. Mom was actually a really good player. The 2600 was actually a good system and you could pick up games for as low as 50 cents. Had a ton of games even the infamous E.T. Some of them today i think would actually be worth more than that 50 cents i paid for em,had some rather rare ones like Q*BERT.
@@OrbitalBacon I had a aunt that had to go see a therapist because of it, she would stay up all nite and messed up her hands playing it. Worse the finger prints right off and damaged the wrists she would plY tetris 16 hours a day.
The Flash Gordon cartoon came out in 1979. What's genuinely cool is that the ships look like computer graphics, but they're actually physical models that were painted white with heavy black outlines that were photographed against a white background - that film was then optically composited onto the animation cells, and then colored by hand.
I see joy coming to us in the morning, falling like rain and bringing reminders of sweeter times.
Amen brother 🥓🙏
Stay tuned for a 1980's anime tonight or later.
@OrbitalBacon keep up the good work dude.
omg ! flash backs of how life was really awesome !
Some of these commercials were REALLY damn good!
I love them almost as much as the shows themselves.
Some of those commercials were really out there. Pure 80s goodness. Thanks.
I Love the Classic cartoon version of Flash Gordon, Its Awesome. When Are you going upload more Flash Gordon classic cartoon episodes?
Some episodes of that show get blocked, so I have to test each one. I'll definitely add whichever ones I can to future Saturday Morning lineups tho.

I don't know much of the lore myself, so that's really interesting.
Nothing like the classics on the weekend. Hey OB, are you going to B.A.D. Bureau of Alien Detectors someday? The show looks awesome.
