@@EllisWR Nah bro, u capping, Mexican food is not unhealthy, just eat in moderation fried food and flour tortillas but for example menudo is low in calorie, high in macronutrients and protein.

Mexico never disappoints when it comes to food and value. Definitely missing the pineapple/pina at the top of that pastor. Barbacoa never disappoints and that menudo is always my go to , must have been left over from Sunday . High 80's, come to Central Coast California it's in the 60's. Morro Bay .

I congratulate you, you are the first foreigners who eat tacos and street food in an educated manner, because the videos I have already seen of other Europeans, non-Mexican Latinos and Asians eat it in a somewhat disgusting way, they push a taco down their throat in one go and the truth is I don't think they can appreciate the flavor of the stew they are trying, but you did it correctly and even gave a good explanation of the stew, you are the best youtubers.

Lo que me encanta de los vídeos que he visto es que se fueron a la comida cotidiana. En lugares se ven limpios. La comida que todo regio come. Ya sea una vez por semana o todos los días. Monterrey tiene mucha variantes de restaurante y de comida. Puede que no tengamos cierta comida desarrollado como vegetariano (porque los regios somos de carne) o alguna comida muy especializada de otro lugar del mundo. Pero hay de todo en comida desde lo mas caro, lujoso, de mucho ambiente, los sencillo, internacional, nacional, en buffete, etc. Pero como alguien dijo "para conocer la comida de un lugar, debes conocer la de la calle o mercados" Y es lo que ustedes hacen. Irse a la comida de ambiente de calle que sin importar cual es tu economía (cuanto dinero ganas) todo regio come: de barbacoa, tacos mañaneros, bebidas, agua , nieve, cabrito, menudo, hasta comida texana, la comida nocturna "trompo, papa asada, taquitos de bistec, etc. Creo que les falta: -comida corrida (Que es como comida casera, hogar. Como la que hace mamá o abuelita "Fondita" ) -pollos asados. Muy amado en Monterrey como el comercial POLLO LOCO hasta uno local. -La SIBERIA o similares. (Tostada grande con guacamole, pollo, crema. Acompañada de caldo de pollo o gallina) -comida de mar "Mariscos" (Aunque no tengamos mar o seamos especialistas en esa area, A los regios nos encanta y hay muchos restaurantes) -comida Antojitos Mexicanos -Comida Regional NORESTENSE Como: asado de puerco, carne con calabacita, taquitos rojos, Fideos secos, milanesas, Frijoles con veneno, chiles rellenos, gorditas, machado con huevo, lechon , discada, tamales de juarez, borrachos,la carne asada,Arroz rojo, empalmes, elotes, los tacos de res(ojo, sesos, lengua, cachete),etc. -los postres regionales: glorias, dulce de leche, semitas, pan de pulque ,empanadas de cajeta o piña, cristalizados, calabazas dulce o camotes, cocada, pay de nuez, pan de elote, Turcos, zavalitos, boyos, chamoyadas,nieves de ADELITAS,etc. Y aunque no seamos excelente como otros lugares, La panadería. Love your videos of Monterrey. I've lived in Monterrey for about 20 years now - I'm originally from the great city of Leicester. The Mirador del Obispado closed on a Monday morning? I've been up there at 7am some mornings photographing the City as it wakes up. That's odd. Looks like the whole place was closed, as it looked like you were at the bottom gate. The Obispado museum is a great place to visit before making your way up to the Mirador and the flag. Glad you're enjoying the food of my adopted city, especially the Tacos de Trompo. In Monterrey it's not called "al Pastor" - that's in the south. Decent looking spud too.
They closed it to build a new road or something!! Typical ahah. Yeah we like the Monterrey style, this place does it soooo well. Cheers for watching have a top weekend
Those last tacos look amazing. They look a lot like the tacos from El Chino Colunga in MTY, which after years of living in MX and eating tacos from all over, they're still my favorite. I think MTY has the best style of tacos for me, although CDMX probably beats it overall just for the sheer number of great taquerías.

Also you should of try to pour some of the menudo broth/soup on to your tacos after you added the cilantro and sauce would had a diff flavor to the meat but good in my opinion. 😅

Indeed.I only went to Mexico one time to Juarez and thought I was playing safe and had the equivalent of KFC but man,I had the worst food poisoning of my life puking and shitting for 5 days .Stick to the local food, can't go wrong plenty of limes.Looking forward to your adventures

@@EllisWR it is you just gotta stay away from the tourist spots just like anywhere else lol. But yes to be honest here in LA there's taco stance and places just like in Mexico every where. The difference is that here in LA you can be in one corner looking at some Mexico city tacos like and 2 blocks away you can be seeing tacos from Monterrey style. Or since LA is very diverse you can see also pupusas stands (El Salvador food) or other cuisine from Latin America.. now the big difference from LA stands and Mexico or any Latin America country obviously is the price like I said. Because of the cost of living. But there's is already a lot food stands or even more famous here are taco trucks/food trucks. Also you see a lot of not just food but also like fruit vendors or aguas frescas. But tbh just like anywhere is all on the secret seasoning and ingredients so you may buy 3 different tacos al apastor but not all are the same lol some are bad. And some are decent. But nothing like Mexico. Because just like soda Coca-kola in Mexico the corn 🌽 tortillas taste way diff here then over there.. Mexican tortillas been way better.

Indeed.I only went to Mexico one time to Juarez and thought I was playing safe and had the equivalent of KFC but man,I had the worst food poisoning of my life puking and shitting for 5 days .Stick to the local food, can't go wrong plenty of limes.Looking forward to your adventures

@@EllisWR it is you just gotta stay away from the tourist spots just like anywhere else lol. But yes to be honest here in LA there's taco stance and places just like in Mexico every where. The difference is that here in LA you can be in one corner looking at some Mexico city tacos like and 2 blocks away you can be seeing tacos from Monterrey style. Or since LA is very diverse you can see also pupusas stands (El Salvador food) or other cuisine from Latin America.. now the big difference from LA stands and Mexico or any Latin America country obviously is the price like I said. Because of the cost of living. But there's is already a lot food stands or even more famous here are taco trucks/food trucks. Also you see a lot of not just food but also like fruit vendors or aguas frescas. But tbh just like anywhere is all on the secret seasoning and ingredients so you may buy 3 different tacos al apastor but not all are the same lol some are bad. And some are decent. But nothing like Mexico. Because just like soda Coca-kola in Mexico the corn 🌽 tortillas taste way diff here then over there.. Mexican tortillas been way better.
