Dude. Freakin killer intro jam, bud! I love Supro Tones. I don't have a physical amp but they licensed a model through line 6 and I use the model on my PodGo like every day. So good!
I see many “I love this amp” but to my ears not so much. Why? Doesn’t much matter. Thanks for sharing this video. It absolutely has helped me decide to keep looking.
Got one. It’s my go to now. Got a Fender Blues Jr and a modelling Mustang III. Got rid of my Deluxe Reverb ( too much power and doesn’t come across quietly). This Supro has everything I want or need. I’ve stopped plugging in my pedal board and straight into the amp now. It’s great at lower volumes. Thanks again for the review.
I tend to listen to other people playing amps I already own because sometimes they inspire me on how to get new tones or styles that I wasn't able to find yet. A few times it even has resparked my love to amps I otherwise hadn't played in months!
Landon, thanks for the video and your humor. I was very close to buying a Delta King 10. Then I tried the Supro Amulet and was very impressed. Ended up buying that. The ability to have 5, 10, or 15 watts is the best of both worlds. Use it for home, and it's great.
I've had one for a couple of years and love it. With a Tube Screamer in front and judicious use of of the volume and master dials, you get some great tones.
Sweetwater also had a plum (on sides) and cream version for a little bit, which s what I snagged. And yes, it is a fun and versatile amp, specially at home. And yes, NOT a fan of top mounted knobs, or how you have to change tubes. Chassis has to come out. Makes a great power amp for my digital stuff.
Just got the delta king 12 and love it. Only oroblem i have is i use it to gig small bars with a band. And the foot switch drive has no control of levels. So to use it properly i have to press both switches at same time. Turning boost on when drive is off. And drive on boost off. Pedal would solve this problem but bypasses the biult in drive. Which i like.
I have the older version, Blues King 12 which is the same amp but with an effects loop. Great sounding amp and fantastic with pedals as well. The drive switch may not be everyone's cup of tea though but I like it. Love that color😊
Sort of a burnished bronze sound with silvery fuzzy bits around the edges that take over more and more as it gets driven ...if you wanted to know what it looks like :D That super cheat code mode definitely sounds like something Trent Reznor would use :)
I have the DK10. More annoying than controls on top is the fact that they are oriented to the rear. Who stands behind their amp to adjust? As for likes? I like that I can get great tones at bedroom levels and it still get plenty loud.
I really love your content, perfect humour, talks, demos, everything. You should maybe do short product demo videos after a full product review with original riffs and solos etc. I think it would be cool and would make more people interested :) Good stuff! Keep it going!
I've owned this amp for a year or more now, and still love it. Sounds great with all my guitars. I only wish the drive switch was on a pot or was a less gain circuit. I don't think I'd ever sell it.
I loved this video a lot. I just bought one coz Black Friday, $318 from Andertons. It's a beauty. However, your 'single coil' sample is suspect imo. The three way switch is back, so it's sampling the bridge humbucker on the Tele.
Owned this one. The clean tone was stellar. Digital ‘verb was outstanding (coming from a guy who uses as little ‘verb as I he can get away with). Boost - check for a musical tone. One complaint from me - the ‘fat’ gain was way over the top for my tastes. Did it sound a little boxy? Yeah, the cabinet is bit small. Would I recommend this amp? Yeah, it’s a great little tool. I just traded it up but I sure didn’t regret owning it.
I bought a Supro Blues King 8 a few years ago and even on it's lowest settings, it will shake the paint off the walls. My biggest gripe against that amp is that it doesn't have a reverb built in, and that's my only bad thing to say about my Supro. Great little amp that it be.
Very nice! I like your taste in amps. I love most Fender amps, and I’ve loved every Supro I’ve ever heard... which is why the only amp I own is a Katana 50 MKII. I’m just one guy, and an old one at that. The Katana is a “do everything” amp, and I’m a “do very little well” kind of player.
Supro has great amps. I keep on wanting to try their Supro Keely Customs with the effects loop designed by Robert Keeley. Sounds like a great pedal platform
You can play live with it. Just put a mic on it. I have a quilter microblock 45 I use with a 12 inch speaker I put in a tiny old portable record player case that's about the same size as this amp. I just mic it for bigger rooms or outdoor shows. Sounds like a Marshall half stack when I mic it.
Landon, you should have emphasized the best part of the amp. Turn up the volume and turn down the master for a great home blues tone. Really good. I am not a fan of the Pigtronix.
What you didn't show, is something I think this amp excels at, Edge of Breakup tone. Also, great tones cranking the volume and keeping the Master down at home, and different feel and tone, the other way around.
That Seafoam Green would certainly compliment my Surf Green Strat. Too bad L&M doesn't carry Supro amps and Steve's doesn't carry Seafoam. I demo'd the new Gibson amp and it was amazing. The price? Out of my pay grade.
Out of your pay grade...check out the Artist Tweed Tone 12A amp. A 12watt all tube amp with12in celestion speaker for less than half the price! Sounds fantastic!
Landon, constructive criticism: I have watched the video twice, once using TV speakers, then 2nd time with good quality headphones. The recorded tone of the amp sounds a bit treble heavy and harsh. Don't know if it sounded that way in the room for you. This is true to my ears on both the single coil Tele and your HB guitar. Were the tone controls centered? Does boosting mids on the amp help that? Perhaps it's a mic or mic placement or audio interface "problem". Or maybe you went direct out into interface? Love the looks of the amp, but would need to hear more live to make a decision to buy one. Good video overall. Thanks.
I have the 10" version and I love it. I don't like that much the pigtronix overdrive with single coils (I prefer to plug a Tube screamer like pedal), but with humbuckers sound great. With the separate Volume and Master controls is a perfect amp for home practice
I'm very curious if thel line out and power in, functions exactly like an effect loop, except that it has just been been renamed, I have the same amp but the delta king 8, it only has the line out, You should put a delay betwen the line out and power in! See if it functions traditionslly like an fx loop would 😊

Fender Mustang Micro has built in selection of many old crappy amps, and the fancy box of the $100.+ toy is WITHOUT ANY MANUAL but the manual can be found online, BUT NOT FROM FENDER WEB PAGE, they😮 stink for that one issue twice.
No, unfortunately not, as soon as you plug anything in the power Amp in, the preamp out is silenced. Not clear to me why. If anybody finds out a mod...

Mine also has nice clean tones and is a great pedal platform.🤘 On the dark side, pairs well with p90s. BTW preamp out does include boost, drive, eq and reverb. 😇
I tried 3 of these. 1 powerbutton was broken. 2cnd drive channel didnt work. Clean soundend nice and the third soundend like sh!'t. So i didnt buy one.
Appreciate your demo of the gain on the amp but would have liked to hear clean sounds and just on edge of breakup rather than saturated gain settings. Just saying'....no offence........good humour in your videos
Yeah, I've had this gripe for years... I suppose it's in homage to old tube amps from the 50s, back when you played on a bandstand with an orchestra or something and the amp was in front, between the band and the crowd. Since the 60s, guitarists have moved their amps to the backline (hence the term) and this is one reason amps began to be made with their control panels on the front. I get the urge to put the knobs up top, it makes for a cleaner, more attractive look from the audience perspective. But if manufacturers wanna do that, they need to flip it around so the player isn't reading the text and looking at knobs and switches upside down from the usual position, which has been in front of the amp for going on 60 years now.
It's a shame they built the control panel the way they did, because the Delta Kings are really cool amps with a nice feature set and great tones, especially at their price point.
It sounds very good. To me it doesn't look great from the front and the colour seems a bit gay. The reverb seems a bit underwhelming. The control panel looks good, and the back looks fine. What they used to cover the speaker looks a bit crap to me. If only they had used a better or more interesting textile to cover the speaker. I see they do other colours. They have 4 stripes, which is one more stripe than adidas 3 stripes lol. As I say it does sound good. I think they could have done so much better on the design of the front of the amp and it would look better without those stripes. As someone else has said in the comments 'Chic Amp' and I was kind of thinking that, at least in that colour. Maybe a sporty chic with those go faster stripes lol. I wouldn't be disappointed if someone gave me one of those as a present but I personally wouldn't buy one. The reverb actually sounds so much better in the secret crazy mode, I just got to that bit lol. I think a different material for a speaker covering could improve the looks of the amp a lot.
