My dad used to take the family and I to the Eastern Sierras and the hidden gems in the area every year in the 90s before the crowds and social media hyped it up. It is truly paradise and overall what inspired me to love nature. It will always be in my heart and soul. Rest in Peace Dad.
U.S.395 has got to be one of the all time favorites. I'm a huge fan of anything to do with Owen's Valley! Farther up on U.S.395 passed Bishop and up into Mono County, the small quaint amazing town of Bridgeport had always been a favorite. U.S.395 has soooo much history, I'm pretty sure there's even an official travel guide as well as a few books written about it. I'm jealous. I need a road trip soon. Owen's Valley up that way would always be my first choice.
I love the Sierras also. I have been there many times. Many family vacations spend in that area. I was there last Sept and there was no snow on the peaks, nor could I see any glaciers. It is so good to see snow on the mountains again. Thanks for the video.

Years ago when my youngest son was about 10 we went up to Whitney portal to fish and the pond was crowded so we decided to go down the creek a bit and we were standing there fishing and Tim said look Dad there's a bear! Across the creek was a bear cub! I told Tim to just slowly walk back up to the pond and the safety of people Never saw the Mama bear but I'm sure she saw us
i have had many adventures in the Sierra Nevada, but the prettiest place on earth is the easter sierra west of Independence, Lone Pine , the Alabama Hills, Hot Creeek and on and on. I have used almost every trail head in that area to get into the mountains. what wonderful memories. Your pictures bring it all back to me. thank you.
Great video, this brings back so many memories growing up when we went up to June Lake twice a year and also camped at Convict Lake. My job was to gather up fire wood and start a fire as a kid and I still love that today now that I'm 67 years old. Drive safe and enjoy!!

I really envy your lifestyle, especially getting to tour around such a magnificent part of the country. Our son lives in Big Bear and we visited last July. He took us up 395, went through Bishop on our way to Mammoth Lakes. Stayed 3 days at his friends condo and saw so much. Went to Yosemite via Tioga Pass, later went to Sequoia. Was a trip of a lifetime for us. Can’t imagine living out there and doing it like you do!👍

I remember visiting Inyo County and driving through the same towns on my Mother's and my way to Twin Lakes, where we stayed in some cabins back in the early 1970s. It's beautiful country and I loved Birdie's excitement flushing out all of the critters from the scrub brush while wearing a happy smile. Your sister's converted camper trailer is great too. Since I started watching TH-cam most all of the mountains I see and love are the Rockies, the Tetons, the winds, the Cascades... all very very beautiful. But these mountains are probably the most , just the most. Beautiful photography!

it is my favorite time in the west! mountains still have snow, everything is greening up and the temps are getting warm but not hot yet. waterfalls and rivers are high and wild and not as many people out and about yet. i will be in glacier next week riding my bike on going to the sun hwy before cars are allowed on. great , great photography !!!

Spectacular views of the Eastern Sierras. There's still a lot of snow up there for June. Kings Canyon would be something to see this year with all the snow in the Sierras. The water really shoots down that canyon when the Sierras have a big snow year.

Your channel has been so inspiring for us- we are heading out tomorrow on our own “epic road trip” from Texas, camping our way through New Mexico, visiting friends in Phoenix, camping in Grand Canyon National park, and then camping our way through Colorado before heading back home. I drove 395 from Hesperia to Carson City last week. Stopped briefly at Manzanar and spent the night next to a river. The scenery was spectacular.
