I am currently attempting to work through the Freemason heritage of my Grandfather; great Grandfather and the women of the family that were affiliated with the Eastern Star . It’s been a frightening revelation and this podcast is so timely and Father Martin’s has been one of the holy souls I have been greatly aided by I am praying to Jesus for deliverance from this generational curse

My sons fathers family we're heavily involved in the freemasons. When he was 13, they reached out to him via letter, inviting him to join them. He thought about it and got a really creepy feeling about it, and he refused. I'm so happy that he followed his God-given instincts.

My old friend who was a Protestant Christian, I warned him about the dangers of Freemasonry (which was in my family as well) he assured me it was not demonic… well he hung himself for no reason that we know of and is dead…..all I can do now is pray for him and others ….. sadly sometimes people are just deceived and can’t be reached. Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me.

This is my favorite podcast, and this episode is EXACTLY what I needed right now. I’ve had so many unbelievably traumatic and painful experiences in my life, on top of all of my disabilities. I was baptized Easter vigilant 2022 at 20 years old, and it seems like the closer I strive towards Christ the more evil is thrown at me. I have a very strong faith and have gotten through so much, but I don’t want my life to be an endless cycle of misery.
Got off the phone with my dad after watching this video and learned that my grandfather was a 33° master mason! The highest level! As a teenager he got my dad to join too but my dad isn’t involved anymore. My dad thinks that it’s all a load of junk and that there’s nothing wrong with being a Freemason.
I knew there was masonry in my family and have heard in the past that masonry has curses, but this video and the call I just had with my dad finally gave me the push I needed to go visit my priest about it. He is very busy, but he promised that we are going to set up a meeting and go through whatever is necessary to break these curses. Let’s hope that whatever evil has been following is finally put to an end for good! Please pray for me!

Praying for you, that any ties to freemasonry will be broken off for you and you can be free. When my dad died, my daughter and I burnt all his books, but not before we looked at some of the promises people make in them. They are horrendous and sound overblown but who knows what happens when people say them? Things like having your entrails strewn across a field if you betray secrets.
I know what you mean about evil being thrown at you when you try to do good. Always pray that you will be guarded so you can go about your way unaffected.

my parish priest has said the closer we get to God the more we will be challenged. I've had similar issues but only dreams of being dragged out of bed and pulled down the stairs. Thankfully we moved as the rental lease was up, we got a new house and I asked my parish priest to bless it. I have also found, regular mass, regular confession, regular adoration, regular prayers and regular blessing the house with holy water and offering it up to God as his house. It's been tough but something from my last confession broke something and it's taken me a long time. I also asked Father to pray over me and my son as I'm a single mum. The first time this happened I heard the demon harassing me laugh then scream at me that he'll be back. So when that happened, again confession, holy communion and asking Father to pray over me and my son. It's worth the fight.

The opening reminded me of how St. Padre Pio reportedly suffered attacks from demons at night. Attacks that could be heard by the others, the sound of thrashing and yelling from his room. Yet he was a very holy, prayerful man. I mean, he's literally a canonized saint. They must be doing so much damage against the enemy that they need to be focused on by powerful demons

    • @Fiona2254
      @Fiona2254 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

Demons don’t bother those already in their clutches. It’s only when they start getting closer to God that the attacks happen. Some are suffering souls who like Padre Pio suffer attacks for us. He wasn’t afraid of the demons who attacked him at all, he offered it all in penance for us all.

Fiona: I can attest to that by personal experience. Angels have saved me many times....defying physics and leaving ER staff and Naturopaths in disbelief. "Science" can't stop Jesus Christ because Jesus Christ/God is the Miracle.
The number of Holy interventions I've experienced has finally gotten through to my stubborn desire for logic. I can't believe I've survived this long. I've finally submitted. The Lord owns me. He's made that very clear to me. And I'm grateful that He is my Father and I'm His servant. I love Archangel Michael because I've always tried to protect others before myself. Calling out to Archangel Michael is also God's great Warrior if you're endangered.

Well....that was such a beautifully done episode. However, I am spooked. I was in Job's Daughters (rather briefly, maybe not even a year?) which is a Masonic group for female youth. Apparently you cannot join unless you had a family member who also was a Mason. It was really odd and I was always very uncomfortable doing it. I am not joking when I say that my mom has always been able to sort of pinpoint the timeline for when our family "fell" from grace, a clear line of demarcation that suggests a curse upon our bloodline.
Dear Lord. I need baptism quickly.

Really enjoy the theology discussions more than the "dramatizations."
    Remember, from CS Lewis:
"There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to disbelieve in their existence. The other is to believe, and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them. They themselves are equally pleased by both errors and hail a materialist or a magician with the same delight." - C.S. Lewis, The Screwtape Letters, Preface

There are prayers online by Monsignor Rosetti to renounce generational curses connected to witchcraft and FM. Rituals by FM lodges are done thru witchcraft so it’s all connected. Perhaps read the prayer outloud in a Chapel in front of the Blessed Sacrament and see if there’s any physiological reaction to the prayer.

I just found out that a cousin was a freemason (he has died a few yearsago) - his father and my mother were siblings. Are we ( my mother's children) affected by that? And if yes, can i take that to confession and do renouncements...and will that sin leave our bloodline?

High EMF fields can cause this sensation as well, especially with those more sensitive to them. Our brains also like to put pieces together into patterns ot understands. For example, seeing a face in the spots on an old mirror. Matrixing it's called. I'm certain thst the demonic can take very clear advantage of these predispositions.

      @apbls 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

A response from a Priest might take a minute. In the meantime you can look for The Saint Michael the Archangel Center YT channel and website for prayers of renounciation. The process to lift a curse can take time. If you have children they might suffer from the consequences of the oath you took, so perhaps seeking the help from an exorcist at a local Archdiocese will be wise. If you are not a practicing Catholic perhaps the videos by Bob Larson and his book on Freemasonry curses might help. I pray for the conversion of all FMs as I know many join without understanding what they are getting into.

Ryan is wise to be prepared for an onslaught of heavy criticism for this episode. I've heard some "corrections to the record" from converts to Catholicism who were either former Freemasons or perhaps have ancestry with Freemasons, known or unknown. Jimmy Akin doesn't refer to any of his own ancestry as being Masonic, but he does point to research about someone who claimed to be a Freemason who joined the Catholic Church in the 1800s, and after causing a stir with his purported revelations of the Masonic vows and curses, eventually declared that it was all a hoax. My take is that if the guy cared enough to hoax the Church and make a fool of the Pope, well there you have it. It's 6 of 1 and half dozen of the other. If the Pope and Catholic Church needle Masons just by virtue of existing, then it's a good idea to avoid joining a Masonic Lodge, because there's probably demonic influence there. That's my take.
Also, this episode highlights the value of Ryan's Protestantism to the discussion if spiritual warfare. He clarifies the different beliefs of different Protestant affiliations. It truly is important to find out what a person believes before discussing potential differences in beliefs. Otherwise you get something like, "Catholics work for their salvation by worshipping Mary," and a counter to that claim going something like, "OSAS isn't in the Bible and the pre-trib Rapture is foolishness," only to find out that the first debater doesn't believe in OSAS or any kind of rapture, either pre- or post-trib.

Freemasonry is dying off around here. The money is drying up, the existing members are mostly too old to do anything fun to attract new members, and any new ones we might initiate, are never to be seen again. The meetings are very boring. Just talk of how much is spent on gas and electric each month. "I move to pay the bills! Pay the bills!! " It is not what it used to be. Too bad the church cannot give people an alternative of fellowship and care for each other. As a single person in my church, not feeling it.

I have nothing against Catholics and actually enjoy the show and respect what father martin does for Christ and others, but I’ll never agree with how they believe if you commit a serious sin you immediately lose your salvation that you asked for when he or she asked Christ to save them in the beginning of their journey with him, cause look at the thief on the cross, did he have time to ask for forgiveness and repent? No, no he didn’t. Yes I believe you must repent and turn eventually but if someone dies without repenting just yet I truly don’t think they’d go to hell cause they know the sin is bad and just have had a rough time letting go of those sins. Christ died for all future and past tense sin and it says we are sealed until the day of redemption, so yes once saved always saved and the fruits will show if you were saved in the first place but anywho still love Catholic’s ministry and pray it continues to help people and serve Christ accordingly. God bless

I think you are wrong on the story of adam and eve. I know you are a priest and know much more than I do. But upon reading the apocrypha I saw, that eve ate of the fruit and repented to Adam, not to God but recognized her sin. And Adam blamed eve for her part in the sin and in deceiving him without acknowledging his part in the sin. That's where I see a difference.

1 Tim 2:13-14 seems to indicate that Adam is held accountable for the family, not Eve. Adam was not deceived by the devil but sinned through complacency, sleeping at the wheel while enjoying family time.
Regardless how Adam sinned, effects of original sin took place afterward; granted, one could argue that both must have acted against God; or
make a distinction that Eve only transgressed, but Adam sinned be cause he was given the law, not Eve, therefore fully held accountable for the family.
1 Tim2:13 -14 " For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 Further, Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and transgressed"

I enjoyed this episode but was a bit taken a back by some of the theology of salvation that was explained. The narrator said that salvation came from baptism and living a life worthy of Christianity/Christ but the Bible is clear that salvation only comes through faith in Christ and his sacrifice and resurrection for our sins. Nothing we DO will save us. It is by faith alone in Christ alone. Baptism is an outward sign of salvation but not how we are saved.
Maybe this erroneous/odd explanation is due to Catholic theology?
Also, as believers, filled with the Holy Spirit and justified by Christ through the shedding of his blood we can call on Jesus and renounce generational curses and sins in His name. When we resist the devil he flees from us. Praise the Lord!
These episodes have been very interesting but also eye opening to some theology that maybe isn’t fully biblical.
I may be wrong and will continue to search scripture for truth on spiritual warfare and living fully in Christ.

      A couple things:
      1) I'm not saying these following in the least to try and demean or offend you. If my tone seems uncharitable, I apologize. I'm gonna shotgun a few points that might help you discern through your view vs the Catholic view
      2) sola scriptura AND sola fide are not doctrines prescribed in the New Testament and you have to get out of that mindset of interpreting the bible if you want to try and understand the theology and worldview of sacraments and sacramentallity. Sacred Tradition is totally legit in the Catholic Church, whereas Protestantism (I believe almost wholly) rejects it.
      3) Proof of Sacred Tradition existing can be seen simply by the fact that the Church that existed immediately after Pentecost did not have a single New Testament Scripture to teach doctrine from making ORAL TRADITION the only valid way of conveying the faith until the corpus of the new testament was written by the Apostles and their first disciples and then compiled. Sacred Scripture is thus a specific aspect of Sacred Tradition.
      4) we are justified by works (but not works ALONE as some propogandists like to imply Catholics believe). St. James is pretty clear about faith without works being dead
      5) faith is simultaneously a gift and an ACT of the will. Faith is not a "one and done" thing. It is a constant choice. A constant choosing to trust God.
      6) God has given us ordinary means of attaining grace and salvation through the sacraments. While God Himself is not bound by these sacraments, He does bind his grace to them. This means some people can attain graces through extraordinary means, but that is not the norm in God's book. If you know better, and have access to them, you need to be receiving graces, not only from prayer, fasting, meditation of scripture, but also through the sacraments whose grace is superabundant compared to mere prayer. An analogy about the ordinary vs extraordinary means would be something like ordinarily needing to eat steaks and chicken to get adequate protein intake as opposed to supplements like protein powder or lower protein foods like beans. Beans might have protein, but really they're better for your fiber intake which supports your beef intake. Prayer does likewise for reception of the sacraments.
      7) Besides prayer and the sacraments, we know that good acts merit grace as well.
      8) Peter literally says in Acts 2:38 : And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
He says this following up Acts 2:37 where the people who heard Peter's testimony and sermon during the pentecost asked what they should do. This heavily implies that non-baptized believers HAVE NOT recieved the Holy Spirit. Peter is making clear the ACT of Repentence and Baptism are necessary as well as their Faith they have just come to in Christ.

It is more than doubtful that the publication of such material will be of any benefit. On the other hand, the potential damage that could be caused, especially to mentally unstable people, is probably not insignificant. In my view, the responsible ecclesiastical superior of Rev. Fr. Martin should strictly forbid him to publish such material. Also, the typical American sensationalist style is as inappropriate as possible to the seriousness of such matters anyway.
