This is the pilot in the episode "the Pilot", but it's not the real pilot. Confused? Good. Now shut the F**ck up and enjoy! CopyrightⒸCastle Rock Entertainment
I enjoyed the several episodes that were woven around the "show about nothing" pilot, and all of the characters involved. The cast for "Jerry" were were all darker, if not creepy. I'm not quite sure, but I think it is the same set of the new apartment that Jerry had once considered moving into on another episode.
I think the "pilot" that they made from our perspective was supposed to be bad, the characters think it's good (at least at this point) but the audience isn't supposed to think it's good.

I love how within the context of "Seinfeld" this Jerry Pilot was considered to be horrible.
I feel like the opening is a wink at Full House with the music and font.
I didn't understand any of that, but it's hella catchy.
You're right the font is very similar
0:27 looks like a ugly version of Kramer

3:16 is that David Byrne?
In Seinfeld, Calvin Klein was actually portrayed by Nicholas Hormann.
