Your son is adorable! Those are precious memories you are making. The love of a son to his mother at that age is just the sweetest! My son is now 29, but still so sweet to me.
For some reason it's never occurred to me to make my own "bowls", but what a great way to use up the leftovers sitting in the fridge. Your roses are next level!
Oh, how much I adore these videos! They just make me so happy 😊 And now I am back to my own homemaking tasks. I thank you for having this lovely break with you. It was my pleasure and joy 💛
I also fold straight from the dryer. It’s just so much easier and hangers are right there for hanging clothes. Unless I have a lot of towels it’s easy to put away
Hi Jennifer, Your pool looks so refreshing; how fun to enjoy it with your little fish! Do you have your children help with laundry? Our children each have a day to do their laundry; when they were little, I cared for the dress up clothing. Our motto is: if they can operate the buttons on a device to play, they can operate the buttons on a machine safely. Thanks for sharing your lunch bowls as they look delicious. Julie 🌷
Dear Jennifer, I loved every minute of this video. Your example inspires us to delight in the small moments of everyday life. The time you spent in the pool with your zon is touching and I’m sure he will remember it for the rest of his life. Things like this make the homemaker job worth it. Thank you so much 🌸
I am feeling depressed and was about to get back in bed but I watched your video and I feel a little better. I got 3 of your books last Christmas and I haven't read a word because I don't think I can do the things you do. I bought a tea cup at the thrift store and set it on top of them like you might do. I don't know what's wrong with me because I love your channel and lifestyle. ❤
Sorry u are feeling depressed. I understand how u feel, challenging to find energy for our self-care. My first step on difficult days is sitting in backyard, closing my eyes , and taking cleansing breaths. I hope your day can begin with something small devoted to you alone. Blessings!
Depression can be so hard! Please don’t be hard on yourself. I have found help with therapy and doing the things I can do. Even if it isn’t everything doing one positive thing can help me get it going in the right direction.. ❤❤❤
I'm sorry you're going through this hard time. Please take it easy. When you feel up to reading the books, I think they will encourage you! Let us know how you do. This community is here for you! ❤
Oh Jennifer you did it again!!! Love your video. Living well at home . The best. The new bathing suit is lovely so feminine. And the color is gorgeous! Elegant. The cover up so comfortable and the color beautiful!! The healthy bowl delicious And beautiful. Your bowl is so beautiful too!!! Folding laundry love your shutters🎉 The common place journal. Dear Jennifer ❤ I've been fitting in relaxation time this week for myself since watching your recent videos. You are so right! It's helpful in keeping our body and mind rested enough so that we can carry on taking care of our homes and families ❤ Love this beautiful video!
Thank you for another beautiful video! I always enjoy your content! Your videos are so calming to me. I love how you make mundane tasks so pleasurable! And I always get a new idea and quote for my Daily Connoisseur common place book!❤
Dear Jennifer I just wanted to thank you for being such a inspiration for me. You inspired me last year in November to do intermittent fasting and like you I do 16'8 and wow how it's changed me. I've never been a big eater, ,prefere nibbles ooooo not great either. Now have lost ex-ray weight got my daughter on it and we just having such fun stepping up our glow everything you do is just what we love..including French things...homes etc your modesty is wonderful. ...thank you so much. Enjoyed interview with doc mindy To keep it up ...by the way you old enough to be my oldest granddaughter . Lots love from Durban South Africa Pearl
I always look forward to the goodness you bring to the new week, Jennifer. Your “Lessons” and “Joie de Vivre” are so very often journaled into my Common Place. Wishing you and your family a blessed Memorial Day, and day of remembrance. ☕️♥️✍🏻 Lynne
You are so lucky Jennifer to live in a climate that allows you to have a rose garden so early in a year. I still have to wait for mine to be in a full bloom, couple more weeks. ☺
Love this video. This was the cherry on top of a very relaxing morning. Hubby was kind to take the little one so I can enjoy some quiet time. The roses. How I wish I could grow them here in South Florida!
Hi Jennifer, I have been so busy with work recently and skipped a few of your videos which I never do! I am finally catching up (unfortunately while isolating with COVID 😂) but it's still such a treat. I have two topics I was hoping you could answer. I am not sure if other people would be interested too. But I was meaning to ask about that for a long time 1) how do you decide on exchanging your undergarments. Do you change everything every season etc or do you have any specific guidelines. Also, how many undergarments do you have each session. Is it also minimalistic? 2) how do you prepare your children's wardrobe. Is it also a 10 item wardrobe? And do you mostly buy affordable clothes for them or some more expensive pieces. I am sending you a lot of love. Your beautiful channel and life has been an inspiration for me since you started! ❤❤❤
Hi Jennifer! I haven’t watched your videos in a while. After moving, being very sick twice in a row, and being extra busy at work, and my social calendar being booked, I feel like I’ve been slogging through life, just trying to keep a lid on things until the next day. Now that I have some balance back, and summer is coming, I’m ready to have some fun, and get back to living with beauty and intention. Your content is an inspiration as always! ❤ Also, bowls (rice, veggies, and stuff) are the unsung heroes of mealtime. I made some incredible ones last week with leftover Japanese nanban chicken, with lots of cucumber and homemade tartar sauce. Yum!
I definitely need conscious relaxation. I have been trying to be more intentional but something always gets in the way of it but I still am working on it.
Hello Jennifer! I really love your hair this length. It looked especially nice while you were folding laundry. I'm growing out a bob and it has hit shoulder length. Your current length is my goal. I zoned right in when I saw you haha. It is very flattering on you!
Thank you so much for taking time to do these videos. That are very appreciated.. I enjoy the quote and write them in my commonplace journal. Excited to try making the muffins. The flowers are always so gorgeous. Such a calmer video. I felt so relaxed watching.
Hello Jennifer, I so much enjoyed this vlog!! I know you like to keep your family mostly private but I enjoy getting little glimpses of your children. I think my favorite rose was the peachy coral one as well as the white/pale pink one! Have a beautiful week!
Thank you Jennifer for these special videos. I forget to press the "thumbs up button", but I watch enjoy all your videos they bring me a wonderful sense of peace.
This may sound crazy, but I love to see how others fold their clothes. I just try to fold things so they will go into the drawers, but it's fun to see how others do it.
Dear Jennifer, your flower arrangement reminded me of another quote (which is written down in my commonplace book - an idea inspired by you :)) - "One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today." Dale Carnegie, an American writer. In your video you are actually enjoying the roses that are blooming in your own garden. Lovely :) Hugs& kisses, Marta
You have inspired me to begin a commonplace book. I often listen to the Daily Connoisseur while is do household tasks, and I find myself getting a little more done because I want to finish listening to you!
Been a rainy, chilly long weekend here in NC . . sun has just now finally decided to come out. .but it made for a relaxing weekend with some much needed down time .. love your video as always Jennifer. Thank you!
I could never have a favorite rose - each one is perfection. I have a rose bush that my mother, who passed away 5 years ago, propagated and gave to me maybe 12 years ago and if I had to pick one rose that would be it - I've no idea it's name but it's pink with a lovely scent. This was a beautiful video - thanks for the motivation and the recipe.
I like how you are trying to prioritize relaxation. It seems that Western countries stress the importance of productivity which I think can lead to a lot of stress. I read a book by Jon Kabat Zinn and he believes we should have just as much relaxation as productivity and he suggests mindfulness and meditation to😮 calm ourselves. I'm still trying to do that for 20 minutes a day, but it's hard. I just try to start over every day.
How do you organize your journal? For instance, do you leave "X" amount of pages blank for each book... OR. is everything in an unorganized fashion? I'd love to get more clarity on this if you would.
I'm sorry you're having that issue. My website has strict security and sometimes certain IP addresses are not able to sign up. I've reached out to my team about this. Perhaps you can try again next week...
Hi Jennifer, Have you ever considered a collab with Teddy Blake? You have been using their croco hand bag for a while, and I cannot find any review on TH-cam about Teddy Blake bag that was not gifted from the company for free. Makes the review a bit questionable. You have been using yours for years, so I am sure you can give a definite trustworthy review in collab with them!
I hope you enjoyed today's video!

That is so true! My son is 26 and he and I are so alike, I see my own personality in him.
Thank you! Yes, he's my best bud and always with me, haha.
For some reason it's never occurred to me to make my own "bowls", but what a great way to use up the leftovers sitting in the fridge. Your roses are next level!
I hope you have fun experimenting with the bowls!

I'm so happy you're enjoying these videos!
I fold my laundry warm right out of the dryer. So much more pleasant.
I also fold straight from the dryer. It’s just so much easier and hangers are right there for hanging clothes. Unless I have a lot of towels it’s easy to put away
Me too. My laundry room is arranged very efficiently and it’s decorated nicely too. So it’s a pleasure to do work in.
So much less ironing!
Same, and I also love folding it when it’s fresh off the clothesline outside. The smell is enchanting… sunshine and clover and sweet grass. 😍
I fold my laundry warm right off of the clothesline. In the winter, they're cold, though.
Jennifer, your videos are both relaxing and inspiring. Currently binge watching on a day off 😊

The T of homemaking is so under valued today. It makes a huge impact on childhood memories, in the moment, and as an adult.
