Janet, thank you so much for sharing this lovely video! I really love the tags you made and your use of the napkin’s ghost print as a dimensional effect! Super! And I always enjoy the outings you share. Most of all, thank you for sharing YOURSELF with us. Your calming demeanor is amazing and is such a special gift! Biggest hugs to you and Freddie! ❤️🐾
Cat thank you so much for you’re wonderful words of encouragement they mean so much to me. It was Meljoy some years ago that showed me the ghost prints on the napkin, we learn and are inspired so much by one another. ❤️ Have a wonderfully creative week 🎄
Janet i was into your video for probably a minute and a half and i had to pause it. I had just come from my craftspace where I was going through my stash and decided to throw out a pillow case in the same colour tone as yours. I simply had no creative idea how to use it till now. I am back watching this video and my pillowcase is as I type soaking in a tub of tea because i must make these amazing tags, Thank you for saving something from the landfill and for offering us all a wonderful and creative process video
Barb’ra oh what fun, isn’t that the way as soon as we throw something out !! I am always going through the paper recycling bin by my desk !! It’s fun to tea dye isn’t it, the pillow had a cuppa ! Enjoy creating and thank you for you’re words of encouragement. 🫖
Janet this was so lovely & relaxing to do along with you while Ivy had a nap 😍 thank you for sharing with us - hadn’t thought about putting napkins on fabric 👍🌻💜
Kristina wow so wonderful you made them along with me, lovely to craft together. Bless little Ivy I bet she looks so adorably peaceful in her sleep. Have fun with her this week and with you’re art ❤️
Oh they're so pretty, Janet. Caroline is so very talented isn't she? What a lovely tag they make. I had to laugh as you were putting one of your ghost images on and saying you just smooth it out (and I said, and try to get all those Freddie hairs) lol. Leave them, they're added love ❤️
Oh Marti she is so talented isn’t she. Oh I laughed too, Freddie’s hair goes everywhere !!! 🐾 ‘ bless his little cotton socks ‘ Happy creating this week ❤️
What a lovely idea to share xxx I am giving vouchers this year so I m going to attach one to their envelopes xxx ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ makes it feel abit more special xxx ❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a beautiful soul you are Janet. I found your channel at the most perfect and needed time in my life....your creativity, your softness of spirit, the healing tone of your voice and words have meant so very much to me. I have become slightly, now there's an understatement, more and more obsessed with Slow Stitching. And a new love affair has begun with water colours, never in my life have I painted so every part of this new journey is good and right. I thank you from the depths of my heart Janet, and keep going well in your journey is my prayer for you. You are so deeply appreciated and respected for this work you do. 💮💖🎨🧵🎀
Andrea how lovely to meet you, what a privilege it is to be with you as you navigate this new journey. Oh slow stitching is so relaxing isn’t it, over the last year I have found it so helpful to keep things simple and manageable. Sending love from Freddie and me 🧵
Janet these are lovely. I really like the use of the ghosts napkins in the back. I’m going to be house and dog sitting my daughters black lab. My Chihuahua and hers grew up together. Both are 14 but there was a time they use to run around together. Now the three of us old girls just look out the windows too
What an awesome Tuesday treat. The tags are beautiful I’m definitely getting some fabrics out to tea dye and add napkins. They will make lovely happy mail as they look light. The second half was soooooo relaxing it felt really cozy. The candle was beautiful. I love the Holly and other wood images. In our treat we get so much. Thank you for all the effort you put in 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🤣
Julia thank you so much 🕯️ they are nice and light and flat too so perfect for happy mail. The woodland shots are from Bens wood, not only does he have the best Post Office, he has the best woods !!!! 😊 have a lovely week 🌳🍄
Such a special project today. I love the simplicity of those fabric tags. Please watch your step on those beautiful tree roots while walking...I've sprained my ankle more than once. Your candle lighting and caring words brought tears to my eyes. Keep crafting and sharing. Have a blessed day
Barbara lovely to see you. I really learned a lot from Caroline’s beautiful simplicity and enjoyed making them. 🕯️ sending love to you today and for the week ahead.
Those are amazing. As the saying goes " sometimes less is more." When you go for your walk with Freddie, some of the out doors you do a close up of, those images would be neat to draw/paint. Like when you did a close up of those berries or the mushrooms in this video.
Stephanie thank you so much, you are so right, I really tried that this time ! Isn’t nature inspiring, great idea or some photography maybe ? thank you for the inspiration ❤️
Howdy, Janet! Thank you for the gentle chat and make session. Your tags are lovely... the mushroom motif is, or course, one of my favs. I'm enjoying my afternoon cuppa with a homemade gluten free brownie while I watch. Mr. Possum loves his shepherd's pie. We add a layer of sweet corn niblets between the beef and potatoes. He's got a bit of the Irish in him... and I'm mostly a mix English/Irish/Welsh/Scot with a touch of Italian thrown in for spice. Mr. P is Italian, too. And thank you for thank you for the walk and mushroom/moss/holly berry show and tell. Blessings & Bubbles...oooOOO
Patty lovely to see you, oh yes I’m just loving creating mushrooms at the moment ! 🍄 I have never thought to add a layer of corn in my Shepherd’s Pie that sounds absolutely delicious. What amazing and interesting heritage you both have. Have a wonderful weekend playing in you’re beautiful journals and enjoy nature in the yard.
Janet this is so lovely! Mushrooms - hooray! LOVE those - the ghosting effect was so magical. I’m trying to think if I have any old sheets/pillowcases/etc that I can repurpose in this way. The little birds are just darling as well. ❤ It’s even better that this whole project was inspired by a friend’s artwork that you received. Now you have passed it on to us and we can continue the creative circle!
Amy I love that, ‘ the creative circle ‘ isn’t it wonderful how we inspire one another. I am wondering if an old cotton TShirt would work ? stretchy though maybe worth trying. Oh yes we love the mushrooms ! Is you’re little boy okay ? 🍄
@@janetnash Good idea on the t-shirt! We have plenty of old ones around here I could try. (especially the hubby’s haha!) My little guy is still sick, stayed home yesterday and possibly will today too, but he’s in good spirits. Thank you so much for thinking of him. ❤️
@@dokidokiforest it’s good for him to have a good rest and recover at home. Let me know how the T-shirt fabric works out, no pressure though because you have you’re hands full. Oh yes definitely try with hubbys first !! 🍄
Lovely cloth tags, oh and the ghosting technique to add layers. Cute painted inky birds too, no two will be alike, love that. I will be giving this a try, thanks Janet:)
Jill thank you so much, my friend Meljoy who gave me the napkin 🍄 told me about the ghosting layer, it’s so fun to do, adds a little bit of magic. Enjoy trying these and adding you’re own little unique take, have a creative week ❤️
Pam so lovely to see you, do hope you are having a restful night sleep. I have made some Christmas and others with a garden and forest theme. I’m getting Christmassy here, just wrapping a few presents. Love to Pusscat. What are you doing this week ?
Hi Janet, here are some Elf Tags I made today, inspired by you. Elves napkins from Sainsburys. I hope I can upload the photo! Apologies if I can’t. Really enjoyed making them😀😀

So lovely work, and the use of the spatula to glue is fantastic. I was looking for something that stop my brushes to be ruined by the glue, use some sponge and did not work so well for me (all my finger in glue ) but now that I see how you use it… I’m in!😂❤️❤️
Thank you so much Myriam. Oh I am the same so many ruined brushes. Some people were using silicone make up spatulas they are smaller I couldn’t find them, then saw this in a kitchen shop. Have a really creative week.
