You (and probably mr. Fink himself) are doing this job so good, that if i miss just half an hour i don't see the bot-attack in action anymore. It's a stark and welcome contrast to bigger official chanells with any content related to Ukraine, Russia, Georgia or similar. Very friendly and therefore nearly boring comment section, but beats the garbage dump that kremlinbots make of other comment sections (like under every news outlet and daily Ukraine updates chanell). Reportimg is my passtime since the start of invasion too, when i have time, but it's become very inefficient because YT doesn't take notice and rather delete my detailed, unoffensive coments and rebuttals of autocrat disinformation comments while leaving up just the disinformation. I think YT is seriously compromised (i even think infiltrated) without chanells doing moderation themselves.
Thank you for a great video. I grew up in Denmark during the Cold War. We got a lot of East Germans who flew from east Germany. They came over the Baltic in many imaginary boats. Denmark placed a weather ship in the Baltic just close to the East German broader, so they could assist people and pull them out of the water. At that time it was all very skilled and educated people who came. They didn’t have a chance to change anything at home, but they wouldn’t live under these conditions either. I think we will se exactly that with Russia today they will loose good and very skilled people to Europe and the US. We in Europe should take these people in and protect them.
It has been happening since the start of full-scale war, in a few waves and a constant trickle of brain-drain. The second wave upon first mobilization brought some less educated people, some of them supporting their regime, just afraid of being drafted. Some Kremlin agents infiltrated among them as shown by many arrests of saboteurs all across "the west". I agree we should take them in, but some precautions and regulations should be put in place, some little control and education is necessary, from administrations to secret services. I suggest to look for examples in contries with most experience with Russian immigration and refugees for a long time. Like Baltic states, which while being increasingly strict with entrance criteria, from the very start of the war implemented requirement for a statement from everyone coming from Russia to declare that they don't support Kremlin's regime and condone the war. It might seem trivial and superficial, but gives some leverage legally and politically if any group decides to organise pro-Putin demonstrations and other disturbances as has happened for decades here. Just a little control and vigilance is necessary, despite many Russians (especially opposition journalists and online activists like Konstantin) doing a great job and are probably Russia's best hope for future, with or without their very country.
Yes. And benefit from their skills. Although I do understand the suspicion and reluctance, given how the kremlin 'protects' it's ex pats, using their presence to justify an incursion into the host country.
That is already happening. 97% of Russians who live in Serbia and Montenegro are against Putin according to the official Russian election results. Most of them are young and educated. The percentage is some other countries is a bit smaller but anyway vast majority of emigrants are against Putin and war in Ukraine.
This has already happened. Most people smart and with enough resources have left. Putin said good riddance. That's typical for authoritarians who don't understand true wealth comes from your people. But Muscovy empire is the same raw materials export based economy it's always been, suffering same dilemma as all petro states run by a dictatorship. And creating conditions for the same collapse that for some reason Russians don't seems to notice as a repeating pattern. Though the USSR chapter was less so because they didn't allow emigration and so retained more smart skilled people. Dictators don't like strong military leaders or smart people because they pose a risk to their personal corruption and power. As Konstantin explains well.
HR recruitment strategies might have been highly effective in the Ukrainian context too- a lot of the Russian side might have crossed the line at the promise of a better job.

Issue the eviction notices to leave all these offices, embassies, The UN and other facilities located in other countries, as well as reclaiming the land they occupy. In the end, Russia legally has no more Veto power in the UN as they are there illegally as per Putin's denouncing all former agreements made by others. Time to show Putin & Russia the door.
