@@puffyluvv It matters in a few ways. For instance, I live in Russia, and since The Maine are criminally underrated, I know for a fact that they are not coming to my country with a concert any time soon, if I want to see them live, the cheapest option would be flying to Germany in a rare case they swing by Western Europe on their tour. Which means I'll have to pay about $500 for seeing the band I love, give or take. Meanwhile, bands like fucking Nickelback, come to us quite often, because there is demand for it. What I'm trying to say is it may not matter to Americans if the American band is underrated, they will tour the country anyway, but to smaller international markets it matters. Also, The Maine deserve all the money in the world for how much joy they gave us, their fans, I'm sure they are not in it for the money, but it doesn't mean they don't deserve the sold out stadiums and shit. But yeah, I see your point, sometimes it's nice to feel like you love something rare that others don't appreciate.
I've always been so impressed with the evolution of The Maine and their music. They manage to sound completely true to the way they've always been and yet experimental /different and new at the same time.
Definitely agree!! So many bands sound completely different when they evolve, but the maine always sounds like the maine, even through all their different eras 💛
Thats what ive always liked about them actually, they always sound like what you would expect the maine to sound, but without sounding too much like the maine and i dont know if that makes sense
i agree. i feel like they're one of the few bands that get better and better each album, where as other bands from that era have kind of dropped off a bit in terms of album/sound likability.
The thing with The Maine's music is it's always *never* about just playing around and getting drunk or having sex. It's always a few levels deeper than the ordinary, always philosophical. They're not romanticizing things or singing about things that aren't real. They just somehow tell a story with the plot and the moral behind it. Love you guys to bits.
Man this song really hit me. Coming from someone who has been listening to your music since the CSWS era, I think this could easily be my favorite song of your guys’! Keep up these jams comin’ boys, so proud of ya’all. #VibeUp
man, i was thinking about the old lyrics and the new lyrics are so damn good. of course everyone evolves and grow with time, but the maine has grown like a 1000 years. love
If it wasn't for John's voice, I wouldn't have guessed this song is by The Maine. But I love it!!! I love a simple song that I can sing a long to the second time I listen to it 💛
This song has been stuck in my head since the release, its pretty great!!! :) ive been listening to you all since i was 16 when you became a band. I feel like as your sound progresses I get to grow with your music as well. Your lyrics and songs have always remained relevant in my life! Keep it up, keep growing we love it!
Think the habit you guys have is to somehow find a way to make every song you put out have so much meaning in my life that without realizing it you have been my favorite band for over 5 years. Always thought Underoath would be that band, but they are more Nostalgia than anything. You guys however, get me. The Maine guys, my spirit animals.
The Maine haven't disappointed me since I found out about them when I was still in high school. It's been a few years since then but they've never made a bad song
middle/high school was a constant struggle for me and my mental health. oftentimes music was the only constant, dependable force in my life. i started college in august and have since been thriving. the you are ok era cold not have come into my life at a more perfect time and i have so much love for this stupid band called the maine
Its really great to go from the very beginning with this band & watch this beautiful bumpy crazy ride with the melodies & beats are ever changing but beautifully done. You are one of my most favorite bands of all time. Well done, another kick ass song with great lyrical talent.
YES ANOTHER GREAT SONG BY A CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED BAND CALLED THE MAINE
leifeday why does it matter if it’s underrated ?
My fav band in middle school and The new songs keep me coming back still :)

@@germanbushin9723 I agree with this. I'm from India and I probably will never get to see them play LIVE here.

Damn, these lyrics are very good.
John is truly a poet, which is pretty rare in modern rock music.
John's lyrics never disappoint 💙💛

Diet soda society is one of my favorites, it talks about how we hide behind consumerism instead of dealing with real world problems
