what is factor of 24 ? by your method comes as 12 but actually it has 8 ? pls explain sir.

24 can be split into 3*8
8 is not a prime number.. If we want to change 8 as prime we can make 2 cube.
So
3^1*2^3
3^1 will have two factor and 2^3 will have four factor
Multiplying 2*4= 8
So 8 factors
