He went to another location to get a good loot because the place where he landed was crammed with enemies. That's a common sense to not roaming around when we are running out of supplies.

The entire video was basically a Montage
Whenever I end up solo in the final circle I always try to make my way up to the zone without exposing myself, if you always look up for a good spot you won't win, work your way through the bad position to a good place and fight from there. I've seen so many of my friends(including me sometimes) riding vehicle in the end zones for a good spot and die very quickly because they're well spotted by every single squad. You don't always get the zone, play with it.
