I live in a big city with public transportation, so I sold my car years ago and rent a car every month for a few days to run errands, meet up with friends and attend events outside my local area. Instead of paying $500+ a month for car payments, insurance, maintenance, gas, parking, etc…I pay a fraction of that. I use the same location, so the staff knows me and always provides excellent service. Also, my credit card provides auto insurance so I can decline expensive rental coverage.

I own an older Toyota Camry LE in pristine conditon, costs me $50.00 a month for insurance, oil change $29.00 a year oil change, never more than $64.00 for petrol, I bet your method costs you more than I spend!

If you live in one of those special cities, you may also qualify for a Senior Pass, which saves even more.

Apply at the transit agency. Although the paperwork is daunting (like filing your taxes) it can be worth it.

I bought my last car from a lease/rental return company. Got a great price and a lifetime drive train warranty. I think these are well maintained and people drive them reasonably.

No. I don’t shop every week. My goal is to try to grocery shop only 2 x a month. That saves a lot of money.

    "Reverse Mortgage"
Just the mention of that phrase should be
enough to file criminal charges against
anyone who tolerated it, let alone offers
    names/contacts (obviously, for a fee) .

Reverse mortgage is not for everyone as I mentioned. and I recommend only experts in their field, without any expectation of compensation.

As an lnvesting enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?

I think the safest strategy is to diversify investments. Like spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown.

If you have not made a lot of money on a job like myself. Your social security payment is only $ 1100,00 dollars a month. It depends on weather you have had a good job or not.
