My dad got skin cancer 4 years ago (he survived), and he didn't add sunscreen as a kid. It's amazing that you advice kids/teens/or even adults to use sunscreen because it's not a joke.
You can still get it with sunscreen, conclusion is you should never tan it's a trend created by society

I'm a 5'2 half filipino dude from AL and I love to be active and tan and mostly shaved. Feels good to feel and look good. It's not conceited at all. It's just something to feel good about all the time ya know. :)

I slowly work my way up to a base tan in the spring in the park (where the sun is a bit less intense as there's no reflection off the sand or water) and I'm eventually able to use an spf 0 at the beach. (If I have no base tan a use a low spf, higher spf at tropical destinations). I'm 50 years old and I don't have a single wrinkle on my face or body and have never gotten skin cancer. I'm of southern European descent, though not really ethnic looking, so that really helps. I get savagely dark in the summer at NYC metro area beaches and parks (latitude 40 to 41°N though it's not always totally sunny and sometimes not at all). Skin care and what sun care products you should use really depend on your skin type. It's not a "one size fits all" or "hard and fast" rule. It varies from person to person.

You’re better off. Any form of tan or burn on Fitzpatrick type skin is injury and contributes to your possibility of skin cancer
I had the same problem for years but then I moved to a hot country for afew months and when I got back home I never realised how much darker I got until my family saw me 🙄😂

@Heyzyen you tell people to ‘trust you’ but cite no empirical data to back your purely anecdotal point. There are countless amounts of peer reviewed, data driven articles which conclude that sun exposure is the leading cause of melanoma.

Compromise is key: 30-60 minutes of daily sun for each side, spf 8 on face and neck if you're ghostly. Keep it simple stupid.

I'm a frequent water drinker (I always drink enough water since the last 15 years) and my tip is to drink a glass of water directly after you washed your hands after a bathroom visit. :) And if you feel like it's a water losing day (warm etc), drink twice. And for each glass of alcohol, drink 2 glasses of water in between.

Honestly you talk a lot about these things being more "feminine" but i actually really appreciate you talking openly about this and encouraging men to care of themselves while giving good advice . I think everyone should take very good care and pay attention to their body and how they present themselves (doesn't even have to be "extreme" just moirturizing , sunscreen, shaving if necessary/get a cleaner look ) makes a lot of difference

Nothing wrong with Melanotan 2. That NHS warning was from 2008 and was mainly concerned about infections from needles in the HIV era. M2 is just a peptide which encourages your body’s natural melatonin to react with the sun and speed up the tanning process. An extra tan actually provides protection from skin cancers so it’s not a bad thing at all if done safely.

A sun tan only offers an spf of about 3. Not enough. UVA rays aren’t protected by spf. These lead to wrinkles, cancer, hyperpigmentation, etc.

I’m 11 years old and I already am dark tan, I was a medium dark light skin for my first few years of life until I was 8 and I started getting tans, I been out in the sun alot and I have never worn sunscreen and have had no problems for skin, it is still a precaution and I shall start wearing it after learning from this video.

I used these sun creamers (Nivea Sun for example - the right ones for the right temps.) and got burned like every time, until I start using oil on my body - now I get less burned, surprisingly!
If you mean oil based spf, I think oil is easier to spread so easier to get an even application so less likely to burn

Don't know if you covered this but would like your take on the minimum effective training and type (e.g. full body, split, etc..) for an average busy person that wants to keep a good muscular body. Basal cell carcinoma - Sorry to rain on your sun tanning advice. But I've had a long history of having numerous skin excisions (cutting) to remove small cancerous tissue. I use to be out in the sun frequently when I was younger, only to pay dearly for it in my later years. Beware of ultra violet sun exposure folks. I wish so much I could go out into the sun. I've had to learn the hard way. Cover up well.

We need sunlight for a good bodily and hormonal production.. but avoid too much. 70% of sunscreens have benzene inside of them, that your skin will obsorb. But there are half a dozen other substances that also are cwrcinogenic in sunscreen.
Timing is important to stay safe, as in the other comment. The best hair conditioner, moisturiser and skin browner is coconut oil. Organic and best priced from Costco.
