With Bam not being a 3P shooter, and Butler not being a good one, you definitely need to have good shooters at every other spot in the starting 5. Myles Turner is actually a fantastic fit next to Bam. They used to run Olynyk next to him and stuff…and Bam is very switchable. Turner is like the perfect fit next to him. Starting Herro is the move for sure especially in 2K. Fox is ehh bc he’s like a C/C+ 3P. On 2K it’s not a huge deal though, as long as they fit the system proficiency which definitely matters. CP3 would be fantastic but obviously he’s older and you’re gonna get regression. Really thought you should’ve traded for Jamal Murray when you had the chance. I think he was an 85 when you traded for CP3 who was an 89. Murray is obviously a good shooter and he’s pretty young so he should still progress. Like CP3 was an 87 after one season, I’d think Murray would’ve been an 87 as well. So I think that was prolly the biggest move you passed on that you prolly should’ve done. Also not wanting to trade your 1st year 1 but you even said that lol. I think sometimes you maybe do things way too fast, and I understand you’re making a video, but if you gave yourself an extra second or two here and there to really think about stuff and how you’re building the team you’d do better. You can edit pauses out obviously. It’s just prolly human nature to go in to a bit of auto pilot mode if you’re doing things so quickly. I could easily be wrong here but again I’m just making suggestions, that’s all. Also making the team better as much as possible even if you’re the #1 seed. Use your MLE every free agency, trade some guys who aren’t in the rotation for 1sts in the off-season to add draft capital, and just be constantly making the team better. Flip your 8th or 9th guy with a pick and a filler piece (maybe the MLE signing or whatever) and keep getting better. Super important to not become content too fast with what you have. You should basically be using all of your 1sts or close every single season for upgrades and then you can recoup picks in the off-season. Again I know you’re making a video. Don’t want to sit there and do 1000 trades per season, but just doing a couple extra things goes a long way. You can even just do the really tiny trades (like non rotation players for 1sts in the off-season) off camera since they’re obviously not exciting. Getting that draft capital is huge though. Just some tips/suggestions like I said, not nitpicking at all even though it may come off like that. Just some things I’ve noticed since I watch a lot of rebuilds and all of yours of course. Really enjoy your content, really enjoyed this video and love this series. I’ve been a sub for who the hell knows how many years at this point so it’s always positivity from me.
