I stumbled upon your videos while searching for informations on how to properly set the B-limit screw on a Shimano 12-speed drivetrain and now I find myself watching a lot of the other videos, like this one, too. Great package of practical tips and a calm and no-nonsense delivery, I really appreciate that. After having worked on bikes for over 15 years I thought I couldn't learn that much more, but I guess I'll go grease all the clutches on my derailleurs tomorrow... :D Thank you for the great videos!
i have an 11 speed slx derailleur and i seem to has worse shifting when the clutch is engage and drivetrain feels stiffer to pedal, after watching your video looks like i need a new clutch. Just curious, is it totally fine to just use the derailleur with the clutch off, or would it mess other parts up? Cheers!
Yes you can still use the derailleur with the clutch off, but it will be a lot louder descending and you run the risk off the chain falling off more often. Thanks Len
