    This is my Translation.
"Birth is pleasure. Death is Compassion.
Union is joyful. Remembrance is compassion.
Everything is Compassion if you transcend time and space."
Hope this will help those seeking its meaning.

Thank you for sharing, I read a blog where Sadhguru mentions it’s a chant that in some way describes the human condition. It says “birth is a pleasure.” You can see it in the face of newborns - there is a pleasure in being alive. But “death is compassion.” We are glad that we can all die one day. Right now, if I mention that, it may cause a lot of anxiety in people, but the compassion of life is that everyone passes. Just imagine if, because you did not do life well enough, they detained you! That wouldn’t be good.
The next part of the chant means, we have come here, we will go to many places, we will do many things in life. But as far as our physical self, the body, is concerned, it goes straight towards the grave. Or in other words, time is ticking away all the time. Whether you live great or lousy, whatever you do - time is ticking away. As I’m speaking, we are one minute closer to death. Only because human beings are not conscious of their mortal nature, they can invest their time in so many things that don’t really mean a thing to them. If they were conscious that they are mortal and that time is ticking away, they would do only what really matters. If all of us did only what truly matters to every one of us, this world would be a fantastic place.
    I found this meaning elsewhere:
Jananam Sukhadam Maranam Karunam Milanam Madhuram Smaranam Karunam Kalavashadiha Sakalam Karunam Samyadhipateh Akhilam Karunam
Birth is joyful, death is compassionate
To consort is joyful, to be left with memories is compassion
In the inevitable flow of time, everything turns into compassion,
In the kingdom of the Lord of time, the end is also compassion!

@Supriya P.K Hi Sister, I have pondered over this questions a lot and being conscious or aware of death has been very helpful for me to start on the inward journey and keep on the spiritual path. I believe our birth itself causes attachment to our mothers womb and from there on our Sanskara's of past birth and this birth contribute to our personality. If we have inner strength and grace from our spiritual sadhana it helps to see the limitations and our attachment so we can be aware and slowly turn our attention to the higher possibilities and grow on the spiritual path. As we go along the other unnecessary things, people, relationship fall off automatically. I believe it is important for balance to have all kind of people and it is good for a spiritual seeker to be around people of different kind so we can know how much more Sadhna we need as we can go through different situations and realize our limitations. My understanding is different people are born with different sanskara's and not everyone is here to be sanyasis as they still think achieving material pleasure will fulfil and satisfy them but it is a meaningless endeavor and I think people who realize it and are aware of death and our limited time as Human are blessed as they can work towards mukti and attain the highest potential we all hold within ourselves (Ultimate evolution).......It is good you are thinking all these things and hope it helps you work towards spiritual upliftment and we are all seekers so you don't have to apologize for asking question, in fact I would like to thank you for asking these questions as I had an opportunity to ponder over it too!

Sai Swehas I heard Sadhguru sing this song live and while my eyes were closed I had a vision that he touched my forehead in my minds eye.
It sounds strange and I have not shared this before however every time I hear the song it brings tears to my eyes.
I don’t know much about many things but my life has changed since that encounter.
I feel it’s truly something special.

@@arunnarayanan3428 It invokes Death to comme. It's really most calming chant 'cause there is nothing more calm than transcendence of consciousness to state of Death :) You will socialise to everithing present, passt and even future ;) But will you willing to return to your body after this state? You must have a BIG purpose to go back to Your body. Think twice if this is what YOU really wannt!!!

@@jirimlady4583 Thanks for ur perspective akka..
Is it because of how u feel after u chant u say that Or because of the real effect of sounds used in the chant?
If u analyse the meaning.. It is not inviting death.. It says birth is pleasant, death is compassion, meeting is sweet, recollection/memory is compassion . Creation itself is sweet if u transcend the 3 times... Sadhguru uses it before any talk of his... I thought it has something to do with that.

This mantra really is something special :) I feel the Death entering my body everytime i listen this to on loop :) after 3 loops it works, but I think, that is better NOT to chant this mantra, if you do NOT wannt the Death to pick up You ;) You can leave you body easyli, but will you able to return? Able maybe, but will You willing to return? When you see all those past lives, You may forget to your present live and your body will die without consciousness present, be aware of that! This chant is really NOT for usual practise :) THX J.V. Your voice is giving me peace on this world ;)

    • @shashankgupta1806
      @shashankgupta1806 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

That's nonsense. This is a general chant which describes that death is creators compassion. The Supreme one is ever Compassionate. The type of chant which can make you leave your body is not even available online. And you are talking about leaving the body, but still so much concerned about returning to it. This is called attachment. Unless even a single drop of attachment is there in you with anything you can't get moksha. Which doesn't necessarily mean leaving the body.

    To all Bharatiyas 🇮🇳,
    Don't live in delusion.
Don't, never ever forget the last 1000 yrs of our beloved Bharat.
Soft power means nothing when you don't have Hard power.
We faced 1000 yrs of absolutely brutal attrocities & many gut - wrenching genocides bcz we deprived a large population of ours' from military training & picking up arms
For the existance & development of Bharat, we need a Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for every Swami Vivekananda.
Without Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Swami Vivekananda will be literally murdered by external and (mainly) internal enemies of Bharat
& without Swami Vivekananda, we won't be able to instill integrity & dharmic values inside Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
