I disagree. In his own way, Charlie was a great uncle. A smooth, unconventional, pragmatic attachment figure that provided an easier life, a lot of distraction and useful advise at this stage in Jake's life. The man may have lacked some experience, but overall, that smooth, alternative lifestyle was exactly what little Jake needed with those parents!
Jake has 2 stuck up/strict parents, Charlie is the "big brother" figure for Jake to have a safe haven to express himself while not being judged/punished.
The best uncle you could ever have. One that's real. honest and true to what life really is. Not the joke they try to train us to follow. And so many do do it.
Charlie Sheen brought life to this show...his chemistry with Jake was amazing...just disappointed that this beautiful story could not be concluded with Charlie.

Jake as a child (season 1-4) was so much fun to watch. With Charlie Sheen staring till the last season, the show would have been a great sitcom.
If you really think about it, Charlie taught Jake probability, statistics, how to get women, how to read people and how not to be used in life. I really wish the show let him keep some of those characteristics instead of dumbing him down and making him a dull character.
I don’t think Uncle Phil would even be able to handle a woman like Judith! It’s bad enough that he has a daughter that’s exactly like Kandi, and a son like Alan, oh and a nephew that’s almost like Charlie to top it off if not he’s worse. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

My two favorites are Two and a half men, and Friends. Those two are in a freaking higher level than any other sitcom.
