Those torch savior plugs are troublesome
I picked up a mower that had one of those in it. While it appears to work I didnt trust it and ended up changing to a used rj19lm
    I had

I bought a 10 pack of B&S sparkplug about 3 years ago. Rj19 Still have 7 sparkplug don't seem to have much issues except the ngk in Hondas.

The compression sounds low on that lawn boy. Could be as simple as carbon on the valves or a stuck ring. That marvel will clean both. I run it in all my gas

It’s hunting because it’s drawing air at the airbox housing, the black plastic part that screws on the carb is warped, try putting two gaskets on it or get another housing that’s not warped. Had this issue with several Quantum engines 👍😎

Check the gap on coil and spring on governor. I would even look up the specs for idle rpm's and the recommended spark plug size

Yeah, the Saviors are pretty much crapola, the Torches are too. Glad that worked out for you before you pulled the carb again. I've got a neighbors Echo Blower to tinker on today. Starts easy and idles but bogs hard on throttle up. It's one of those carbs with no high/low adjustable jets. I'll try cleaning it and maybe I've got new diaphragms I can scrounge up for it.

Get to work on the Echo.

@@tommy-time5240 I got the Echo blower throttling up yesterday. Took a little screwdriver and heated it up and put it in the plastic plug that hides the high jet. Took a couple of tries but I finally got the plug out to reveal the high jet adjust screw. Gave it about a 1/2 turn to the left and she throttled up nicely!! Neighbor was happy and paid me with five nice homegrown tomatoes and some squash. Ain't nothin' greater than a homegrown tomater!!

Best thing to do with those Chinese plugs is throw them in the garbage!! That Bolens in my market MIGHT bring $95.00, but, more likely $75.00. You are in a good market Tommy.

Yeah you’re right I’ve never used those plugs!! Every time they come in those kits I’ve always thrown them away

What I am wondering if sucking air at intake tube? Cracked tube gasket, oring. Or jet or emulsion tube need more attention?

Quantum. Retorque the head bolts. : )
hey Tommy,....... you think if you order a sparkplug they would include a free defective carb kit?
    That'd be truly horrible. lol.
