Him and Martin Crowe tore up the Shell Cup for Wellington, with partnerships sometimes exceeding a run-a-ball! 😅 Hard to do it against the Aussies though
I remember him, played a handful of games, the ray bans and clean hitting were fantastic, that first 6 he hit against alderman I was like whoa, shame he didn't keep going @@pixeltees
He didn't play for that long for NZ but I remember him as the player who always batted in sunglasses. He's the only player I remember who did. 😄
9 ODIs in total, but what a season he had domestically and internationally in 1990/91.
They might be prescription sunglasses he's wearing. They look like an older version of my prescription aviators 🕶
@@shaunstelfox1718 Good point. I hadn't thought of that.
@@shaunstelfox1718 yeah I am pretty sure they were. I don't think he used them for fielding though.
Brilliant footage
Glad you liked the montage!

Which was followed by Marty and Paddy tearing it up for Central Districts for a decade ❤
Yeah Reid and Crowe were insane for Wellington during the 90/91 season!
Never heard of him, even though I was watching England v NZ matches during this time.
90/91 was his big year domestically and that got him into the NZ team. He retired the following season.

@@danielclausen5318 yeah he retired after or during the 1991/92 season. A different era.
Cheers for this Marty, isn't he the son of former skipper and top all rounder,John Reid btw?
Glad you liked the upload. Yes he was!
Wonderful highlights from an era men played cricket and David Boon would drink a plane dry 😂😂
Glad you liked them!
