  • If you have acreage and trees this chipper from Bigger Boyz Toys is great, having owned smaller chippers this is a great investment, it has a huge solid steel shoot and a huge 320mm twin cutter this machine weights about 180kg and for $2000AU a bargain, it comes with a spare set of blades, strongly recommend it

Is the chipper still working? How often do you need to change/shapen the blades?

nice clip. thinking of buying this unit too as I just bought 5 acres. really dumb question but can you also just put leaves straight in that have been raked from the ground. i think i read somewhere only the better chippers mulchers can handle leaves by themselves. any feedback for this novice appreciated

I have 1.5 acres and this machine is great, leaves on their own is no problem I only blocked the outlet chute once and I think it was too many branches from a native cherry tree but not difficult to open the chute and clean blockage, as I said it's a great machine strongly recommend it.

thanks for the video. I was looking at this model but was a bit put off when I read the online manual that said to use the hopper for leaves only and the side chipper for branches. Have you had any issues feeding the branches into the hopper?

This model only has a main shute (hopper) no side branch feeder, only cheap units have side branch cutters, this machine has one big rotor with two blades that chops both branches and leaves, no issues at all apart from the exhaust outlet on the wrong side (see other video)

@@noproblem2big337 thanks for the reply. Maybe their online manual for this model is outdated. Cheers

Hi, Looks good. I saw a comment somewhere that it doesn't handle palm fronds. Have you tried them at all?

They could be right, I don't have any palm trees so I couldn't say but it handles tree branches very well specially if they are still green...

Hi, thanks for the video, I’m just about to buy one of these, would you recommend it? Thanks

I don't like pushing Chinese products but this machine is a beast, I used it a few times now and compared to my previous light duty chipper there is no comparison, only one gripe is the exhaust pipe in the wrong spot (see my other video) I'm a bit sensitive to carbon monoxide but other than that it's a great machine and reasonably priced, also you get a spare set of blades.

Interesting but mine doesn't have a clutch it's direct drive via two big vee belts and the blades always spin when the motor runs...
