  • www.DemocracyNow.org - Two Gaza-bound boats carrying pro-Palestinian activists is within 50 nautical miles of its destination, but reports are emerging that Israeli Navy ships have intercepted the "Freedom Waves to Gaza" flotilla. Communication with the boats have largely been cut off. Prior to losing contact we received two exclusive video reports from aboard the "Tahrir," the Canadian ship. Speaking to Democracy Now! correspondent Jihan Hafiz last night, passenger Ehab Lotayef said: "We are approaching the 100-nautical mile point away from Gaza which is usually the point where Israel declares, starts the blockade," said one passenger in an interview last night. "Will they try to come and board us? All these questions are now at the moment of truth. The major preparation we did is to prepare that we don't want anybody to act in any violent way, or in any way that can even induce violence by the Israelis."

Well, Palestine is located in the Middle East. Since I lived in Nablus for well over 2 years I know very well the relationship between Christians and Muslims. Fact of the matter is that there is no problem, no discrimination. While we were under siege from the IDF in 2002, it was a Christian lady who brought us food.

    This aged well.
Turns out that denying civilians food is a long standing ISR policy. As is aggression toward civilians, humanitarian workers, and peaceful protesters.

@TheDavidDaoud I've been in the region many times and I was talking about you going to Egypt , Afganistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran Yemen... There being a Christian or having a bible is passible of death or jail time. Also the tibetians issue nobody cares. Occupied walls st, no mention of these issues. I've never seen a street protestation for those people who really have NO VOICE at all. But when it come to Israel who is threaten by 23 arabs states everybody is keen to do something. SHAME!!

@h78meiri Lol, what are you talking about no elections? Hamas wasn't in power before then, so how can you call their system dictatorial? They were voted in over other political parties in Palestine. You can look up how 'fair' these elections were by UN standards. Google, Hamas elections UN and read the official sources. You're in the wrong man.

And if you ever found the balls to do something like that you would also be looking for attention.

Nice thoughts, however unrealistic. The "good Jewish people of Israel" are not as good as you seem to think. They consistently support what the Netanyahu/Lieberman government does regarding the Palestinians. You can add to that Jews worldwide that give their money and political support to the repressive government of Israel.

@h78meiri Hamas wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the occupation. Resistance groups have no purpose when there's no occupation to resist

It's the same with Hisb Allah in Lebanon. Both groups exist due to necessity, after Israeli aggression.
