Loq comes with a full plastic build while even the baseline Legion models come with a Metal lid design and better quality plastic for the interiors. Speakers are much better on Legions, battery life is also much better (as they don't sell Loq 16 which has 80 WHr battery with the Ryzen chips), and on paper the Legions have a full powered or max TGP graphics card inside, but that doesn't matter for the RTX 4050, 4060 and 4070 cards since they max out around 100 watts or so coz of Nvidia's voltage limits. Most importantly I guess Legions have better cooling solution inside them which along with the build quality increases the longevity of the laptop. But those are all nice to have features and absolutely not necessary for you to enjoy a good gaming laptop. Just get a cooling pad along side your Loq and you should be golden.

I personally love its looks more than fancy looking gaming laptops tbh. Js want solid specs and build quality matters, looks should be as minimal as possible.

I bought a Lenovo once and it simply didn’t work at all, the company refused to get me a new one or fixing the one I had, at that time I was finishing college and I had a lot of work to get done and no money to get a new one. As soon as I finished everything I slashed the notebook with a hammer and I’m NEVER buying anything from this brand again.

You're probably seeing a different model with higher specs, the one shown here is a model with Intel Arc 580M and i5--12450HX. and stay away from Intel CPU LOQ's as they have motherboard issues that die in 3 months

As far as I know there were no reports of motherboard issues with the RTX 2050-3050 LOQ types, it tends to be on the newer ones that come up with RTX 4050 and a 13th gen Intel CPU, also no reports with users who have AMD version CPU.. still, if you want one go with the AMD CPU one, much safer option

dead motherboard has been reported only in india i guess and it only happens with the higher end versions that contains the rtx 4050 and 4060 ones. I have been using the lenovo loq rtx 3050 with i5 12th gen and no issues so far, and the built quality is soo good

And i'm using and playing AAA games for 3-4 months and i faced no issue bacause i always make sure fan speed is at max and laptop is slightly elevated and sitting in a room with decent temperature.
