This work wins the hearts and minds of the audience of the world. Masterpiece of the human beings. This performance is standing ovationaly and tremendous.
This song and play give me comfort and solace , and heal my tired mind and sorrow , and my melt away my suffering and grief ,and purifies my stagnant soul .
Wonderful performance! Beautiful in so many ways: great music, awesome soloist, fine wind ensemble, excellent video and audio, and a heartfelt performance--what more could you desire?
Just finished listening to it all. Great playing too :) Unison phrases with the orchestra flute were perfect, and you don't get to see such a view often - you can see the young man behind you playing along behind you with the same posture position and serene affect. That was really nice work.
Really makes me want to start playing my flute again... I'm really out of practice though. It would take me years before I could even come close to this performance, just so beautiful
It can be nice 'just to play' and enjoy it. We have to drop seeking excellence or no go. Just play as well as you can and see/seek improvement through repetition.
Spellbinding. The master demonstrates ultimate breath control and focus of airstream, the most challenging aspect of playing flute. And what better choice of music. Wish "Lark" was on Paula's "Places of the Spirit".

First time I've heard this played on flute.. haunting in its own right...very emotional!
So beautiful and emotive reminds me of Scotland.
a very fantastic arrangement Lark Ascending... In some ways its more appropriate that this is a flute soloist than violin. She's a beautiful player!
flute tone has more bird-like qualities
@@HCain Agreed!
after a slightly flawed start, a sublime, passionate and very memorable performance. Audio quality (at 720p) excellent too.

It's nice to see and hear you playing. Beautiful work and production.
Favourite piece on my own instrument. Beauty sublime.
Amazing

This is beautiful.
Very good, soloist and ensemble ++
I have been looking for a transcription of this for years - how did I miss this
Tuba player handled that mute like a boss.
This piece reminds me of a cross between Grieg's 'Morning' (Peer Gynt) and Holst's 'Jupiter'
Great, anybody knows how can i get the sheet music?
+gentlemanforte what she plays is not far apart form the actual violin sheets. imslp.org/wiki/The_Lark_Ascending_%28Vaughan_Williams,_Ralph%29
Really like the arrangement. The soloist's interpretation is not my favorite, but it's pretty good.
That bari saxophone player doesn't look too amused.
who is the arrangement by?
Were those harmonics played to perfection?
Does anyone know who is the publisher of this version?
how old is she now?
Well played for sure. I hate that this transcription has been transposed down a step from the original.
Almost as good as the Smashing Pumpkins' version!
The flute is lovely in this role, but no wind ensemble can match the beauty of a string orchestra in expressing the lark's soaring flight.
