Thank you Harry, it is a wonderful material for presents. I have uploaded part 2 and it is stuck in TH-cam limbo. It has been processing for the last 4 hours. I do hope it will come out of the matrix and let you folks see it. Thank you for all you do Harry. Don't stop.
Just a suggestion, but use your yellow mallet on all your leather drive tools - punches, rivet setters, etc. So you don't damage them. Otherwise, great job! You learn more, the more you do...
D thank you so much. I do have lot of subscriptions to and most don't cut the cake. I am glad you enjoyed it. Part 2 is around the corner. Good luck on making yours. I hope it is as much fun as mine. But truth be told after 900 stitches my finger hurt.
Very nice work from what I can tell. I'm just getting into sewing myself, just to broaden my bushcraft skills and knowledge. This video just motivates me more to hone my skill so I can try and create a beautiful piece like this. Thanks for the video, you will get a thumbs up from me and a sub. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
+Milan Bíža That was a flea market find. Its a kitchen ruler with general tips on temp and measurements that are kitchen related. I have a whole $2 invested in it. I like it because its wide and I can hold it easily.
the tool in my right hand is a small wood workers marking gauge. I t owned by a pattern maker from 1880. basically a sick with a sharpened nail. The stick has a fence that is adjustable and stabilized by a locking screw. I hope that helps. I made a Japanese one here th-cam.com/video/BPa1l2RXKVo/w-d-xo.html one was made for me here th-cam.com/video/CMlAS6Ivhzw/w-d-xo.html
+um all of my project are from my head. I don't use a ruler most of the time just start placing things together in a fashion I think they look good. I first made a paper template to see if this was the size and shape I wanted. When I was happy I started cutting materials.Bill Dewey
