Some interesting decks this go around. I hope to see more experimenting w/ what we are given right now.
Victreebel making a cameo is spicy.
Hopefully we see similar cameos in the future @packbundles
Let us pray. 🙏🏾
It's pack bundles, just as I expected
It's just as you expected lol
best tournament structure is Swiss rounds followed by an asymmetric cut depending on 8th players standing. So for example in this tournament if 8th is x-2 every x-2 player below should also cut. If 8th is x-2 and there are no x-2's below than just play top8.
just like in official pokémon tournaments
We appreciate this feedback! We are testing with stuff in preparation for global launch:)
I know official Pokemon tournaments had a format change fairly recently. Was it the switch to this dynamic cut? The asymmetric cut is really interesting. I'm not sure how many bracket websites will let you do that on the fly though.
@@packbundles yes. we have that at Pokemon Worlds since 2016 and its by far the fairest. Like depending on opp results just sucks in a game where people drop if they can't advance anymore. And doing well in swiss is still good cause it often allows you to skip the first elimination round.
and if time is an issue with this variant you can just cut down 1 swiss round to nearly guarantee an only x-1 cut.
I really wanna see tourneys with an EX Ban.
I think that organizer group has plans for a pauper format (no or less rares) at some point. 🤷🏾♂️
Thanks for watching!
@packbundles Oh, sick. Im actually thinking of hosting a tournment myself with my community at some point and was thinkin bout a format like that. Ive never hosted a tournament before and your channel happened to pop up on my feed!
Still waiting on the US launch, will surely be trying my hand at PTCGP tourney's where possible.
There's a lot of tournaments cropping now especially toward the tail end of the soft launch! Hope to see you in some!
Hat's deck, you lead with execute, it's also acts like a tank, if you are lucky and hit a couple of heads, victreebel can finish it off, also victreebel is very good in catching people offguard especially on ladder, if you got 2 points already then your opponent has a 60 hp basic that it pull it out for the win, seems to be good counter pick for Pikachu Ex decks as well.
giovanni in mewtwo is most crucial for dragonite... u need to otk it to win...
That's a good catch! I guess I just wonder if we're getting max value out of Gio for this one match up that I think we're probably favored in, anyway? On top of that, Sabrina/Red Card are just as suitable disruption into Dragonite while also being applicable in more match ups. 🤷🏾♂️ I'm not a Metwo pilot so there might be nuances I'm missing/I'm just spitballing. Appreciate you watching!
@@packbundles Its mainly about "break points" which are crucial numbers to hit. For mewtwo, 60 to hit most starters, 110 to hit 110hp stage 1s or 90hp with potion. 160 is really key for dragonite as it has a weak win rate if dragonite hits twice. Sabrina doesnt really work against single prize decks (like dragonite) as it can throw 2 sacrificial lambs. And in some rare cases, double giovanni over two turns can win you random games if you need to deal 120 early game like against pikachu!
