- AOD FILMS Presents: Transcend
Released in 2014, ‘Transcend’ secured licensing deals with Netflix, ESPN and more. Now that the licenses have expired, we are thrilled to be able to offer this film to audiences for free. It was in the making of this film that Michael, Mark, and Tad first met so without it, there wouldn’t be AOD.
SYNOPSIS:
From the producer of ‘Seabiscuit’ and ‘The Jason Bourne Series’ comes the story of Boston Marathon champion, Wesley Korir who used his running to escape the grinding poverty of Kenya.
But after winning multiple American marathons, he risks it all and returns home to help his fellow Kenyans create better lives for themselves. In what promises to be the most challenging race of his career, Wesley takes on a well-financed, big-party candidate to run for a seat in the Kenyan parliament. attempting to balance the frenzy of campaigning with his return to Boston where he looks to defend his title.
“TRANSCEND is a film about a runner that ends up being about so much more: faith, service, and courage. I was riveted.” Malcolm Gladwell, Best Selling Author

Who else is in tears after watching this??😭❤️❤️❤️
I acquired the Transcend DVD when it was 1 st relased & am pleased to see that it is now widely available to share with others on you tube. My friend Johana Kariankei did the Swahili translation in this documentary. Wesley Korir is a true man of God who puts Him 1 st in his life. What other athlete after reaching the pinnaclle of achievements would not reap the rewards of all his hard work but instead follow the uncertain & challenging calling that God put before him? Wesley Korir is a Champion For The People of Cherangany & Kenya. As well as a humble servant of The Lord His God.
There is no greater race than the one we run against ourselves each day. Wesley has shown that he was never running against anyone. His only race was with what he felt in his heart was right. In that he got great reward. I enjoyed being able to see just a little part of his story.
His inspiration has transcended my spirit 💛
In tears.. that was an amazing story told so well!
What a joy to share in the experience, the desire and purpose in Wesley’s heart, of overcoming all the hurt and pain of his life. He demonstrated to us how our purpose is not about us but about serving others. I am reminded of what Paul the Apostle wrote: “But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Php 3:13-14). Wesley is pressing forward to that goal.
I couldn’t stop watching until the end, even the credits. Thank you.
Wesley Korir you are perfect man! I send you my greetings and respects from Turkey..

Such an amazing achievement. Congratulations to Mheshimiwa Wesley Korir and the team for bringing this story to light. I am inspired to go beyond what is conventional and Transcend to higher heights.
Great, just great..
Blessed by this. Thank you!
if u have noticed @9:52 , those small kids have such a good natural running form already at that wee age. Her heels are approaching buttocks confortably at this age, whereas mature runners find it diffucult to have such form. That's is amazing.
This TH-cam channel deserves million subscribers 😊❤
Beautiful documentary team. I learnt a lot and thoroughly enjoy every bit of it.
This was incredible ..
Well done Documentary, Cheers from sweden!
Amazing story so well grafted!!! well done & Thank you for sharing!!
I have to add to my own comment, I sent this video to one of my best friends, because I was astounded at how close somebody else’s voice sounded to his, and how, in fact what the person said was something that my friend would absolutely say, so I wanted him to hear it so his mind would be blown. He wrote back to me and said, that is me! Phil Wharton, one of my best friends. Tiny little world. :-) I should’ve known that you guys knew the Wharton’s since you were runners, and you make a video like this. Of course. :-) Active isolated, stretching forever.
beautiful movie. thank you for sharing this.

Running long distances consistently on a weekly basis is spiritual. It helps you to know yourself, organise and clear your mind. It basically brings you inner peace and self-confidence.
