Bloom has some really good bops and lyrics as well, can never go wrong with troye sivan in my opinion. My fav from Blue Neighbourhood is Ease and Suburbia. From, Bloom, I honestly love the title track, it's a bop, and I adore Animal and What a Heavenly Way to Die. He's put out two recent soundtrack from his movie! He's a superstar
Ease is definitely one of my favourites, I have a tattoo of it cause it helped so much. But heaven is such a good representation of queer culture and how we are raised. I am so thankful to troye for making meaningful songs and to you for being so respectful and receptive of the songs and the stories they try to tell! ❤️
@@yvonnedellalibera I remember seeing him live in 2019 and when he sang Heaven, a lot of people are crying (including me). It really hit different because I live on a very religious country
troye actually mentioned a while ago that the "so i'm counting to fifteen" line in "heaven" was what he did when he was younger whenever he felt really nervous. apparently he counted to fifteen repetitively as he was coming out to his parents. such a fantastic song.
this album is part of the holy trinity of 2015 tumblr music. you already heard crybaby. the other two are this and halsey’s badlands. imo, Troye is one of those pop artists who has an ear for great tunes. he never had a bad song and a bad album. (he’s a great performer too. I’ve been to his tour last 2019 and he’s really phenomenal)
I remember discovering Troye when he was vlogger on TH-cam. He has a very charismatic personality and I remember being so, so happy for him when he released his first songs. It was so amazing to witness (from the sidelines but in real-time) him reaching his dreams, releasing the album, and growing as an artist. To be honest, he was one of the first artists I knew who spoke so openly and softly about people who are not fitting into the heteronormative world, especially in the context of family and religion. The 3 MVs brought me to tears so many times, but this whole album has healing properties. It means a lot to me, on a very personal level. This album is special not only because of amazing music but because of the message it carries and I'm sure a lot of people found comfort in it.
i've fallen back in love with this album recently; so this came at the PERFECT time!! i still think wild is one of the best pop songs of the 2010s, but the entire album is so incredible
god i love blue neighbourhood it’s so nostalgic, i haven’t even watched the reaction yet but i know it’s gonna be so good! my fav track from blue neighbourhood is talk me down and for him
This whole album is so meaningful for me. It got me through some really tough and confusing times, and I definitely cried more than once listening to it. It’s amazing what not feeling alone can do for a young person questioning their sexuality. Listening to it now always takes me back to my middle school days.
The live version of for him has an extra verse which I adore "We are not a commercial for everyone else We go out for coffee and keep it to ourselves We make little homes out of three star hotels I know what you're feeling cause I feel it as well" Also, really want to see you reacting to bloom, The Good Side is my favorite of Troye's songs
this is one of my all time favorite album, it's just so good and it was even a little eye opening for me. ALSO, there is a deluxe track called "Swimming Pools" that is one of my top 3 song from him.
@@MichaelBeveraggi yep, well I heard this album when it came out and I was FOURTEEN, so young lmao. And I remember going, oh this is about me a little bit. It helped me see that, and it help me be more okay with myself. Its also a huge banger lmaoo
I'm so happy you reacted to this album as it really shaped my teenage years haha! You and I have very similar taste, my faves are Ease, Blue and Cool and Too Good! I would say definitely react to Bloom as it's a total different music style and you can really perceive Troye's growth!
Troye is one of the few artists that I can confidently say I like every new project more than the last so I can’t wait to see u react to bloom and in a dream, both are very different from blue neighbourhood
I've been waiting for Troye Sivan reactions literally as soon as I started watching this channel (which was way back)! I haven't even watched the video yet but I'm excited!!
I’m so happy you reacted to this album because I love it so freaking much. The blue neighborhood tour was actually the first time I had ever been to a concert back when I was 16. If you loved this album you definitely should check out his last one Bloom, The Good Side is my favorite track from it!
it's funny you mention that he could collab with a big edm producer and it would still have that intimate, one of a kind "troye sivan" quality; he actually did a feature with martin garrix (yes, the guy who produced "animals") and it's one of my favourite songs of his.
i had such a big hyperfixation on troye (and the guy a lot of the songs are abt) 2019-2021 and its really interesting seeing reactions to him because of that
I've listened to this album so many times, it's just beautiful. HEAVEN just always makes me cry listening to it. And the trilogy of music videos are just devastating but so gorgeous in their own right. Also, fun facts, Jungkook and RM have a cover of Fools on SoundCloud and Troye Sivan co-wrote BTS' song Louder Than Bombs
The album of my late teens !!!!! I got to know him from youtube first but even coming in from that personal bias I think this album is such a distinctive body of work reflective of our generation too. I think he has some really lovely ideas and phrases in his lyrics, and he’s also really hit on important points in his songs and videography like: heaven, and the video for it honouring the lgbtq people who got us to where we are, bloom and the gender non conformity, my my my being his popstar moment it’s just cute but also important as an openly gay man, to claim that and just have fun! I think the textures and tones of this album are what make it distinctive, I know it sits amongst a certain pop category but I do believe it has its own groove within it. And I think he continues to consistently hit the right mark - I love what he did with his ep over the pandemic, involving unknown artists, and the songs are so killer too (rager teenager maybe my standout??) Ease, Blue, and Talk Me Down have always been two of my favourites from this album. Love and appreciate your thorough reviewing as always !
in suburbia he says “oh wonder on repeat” and as a day one oh wonder stan i lost it when i first heard that line in 2015 (also bc his bf at the time was the first person i heard suggest oh wonder and now they’re my favourite band) so i would highly suggest you check them out !!
Troye is one of the few artists who make me cry with a song, and he did that with two of them (Heaven and The Good Side), amazing artist and every project of his has been amazing
I just want to give a recommendation to anyone watching this. If you like Troye and his wonderful acting in the blue neighbourhood trilogy, he plays the main character in a fantastic 2022 movie called three months. He also made several songs for the soundtrack of the movie. He plays a guy who had sex with a man who later Informed him that he was hiv positive so the title refers to the fact that it takes three months after you’ve had contact to find out if you have contracted hiv or not and the movie follows him as he deals with the stress of that as well as him meeting a new guy and exploring that relationship
i’m so glad you reacted to this album ! it’s one of my favorite albums ever because of the emotional connection i have with it, i can sincerely say it saved me

Wild and Fools are my favouritez. Gosh I love it so much! Troye voice is amazing. (also you don't have to react to it and you can enjoy it off screen but Jungkook and Rm covered Troye's song Fools so you'd enjoy that)

broods is actually a brother-sister duo ("ease" is produced by caleb and the vocal feature is georgia). i 100% recommend you checking their stuff out if you like lorde (their debut EP and first LP actually have the same producer who worked on "pure heroine"). they actually just put out a new album last month!

The Blue neighbourhood album is really special for me so thank you for reacting to this and sharing with us your thoughts. I'm happy you liked it!
You encapsulated the complicated feelings of grieving an abusive, homophobic parent. It’s confusing and painful and down right weird. What a kind, honest reaction 💙
Hi really not about the music, but the trilogy isn’t about Troyes personal coming out story, I believe he had a positive experience with his family, and came out to them long before he came out publicly. He meant it to represent a more the story of many lgbtq+ youth
if you like his music you’ll love alec benjamin! he’s incredibly talented not only in singing but in song writing, hopefully you check him out in the future, you’d love his songs so much! btw loved the reaction
