i got one of these myself. clean your carb and turn the idle down and the transmission will work like a charm then. the one i have is having a spark issue and parts are nearly obsolete. nice honda though i wish it was mine. i love the older machines. i also have a 2003 kawasaki 650 prairie im selling to use towards a new can am outlander xt 1000r
Cole Pegelow It's my step dads bike, his way of dealing with the idle was to mix some chemicals with the gas, put it in neutral, start it and just rev it. He would keep it at rev limiter for a couple seconds and let off. It did help but doesn't seam healthy for the engine.
sebe1015 ya thats not healthy for it. run a can of sea foam through it and that should help it a lot. the bad thing with that model is you have to take the back rack off and plastics to get the air cleaner and carb out.
