  • Low Net Carb Bamboo Fiber Sausage Rolls Recipe - Made of Bamboo Flour, Keto And Gluten Free
If you like pigs in a blanket, you'll love sausage rolls. The buttery bamboo fiber dough stuffed with sausage will be popular snacks in your home. They’re absolutely irresistible and great for quick meals or snacks.
How to make bamboo baking flour:
    • Bamboo Baking Flour -H...
    Full Recipe
100g bamboo baking flour (80g bamboo fiber and 20g powdered whole psyllium husk)
    1 tbsp baking powder
    3/4 tsp salt
    60g COLD unsalted butter
    1 large egg
    180g coconut milk
    540g sausage (5 pieces)
    Steps
Measure dry ingredients in a food processor or in a chopper grinder:
100g of bamboo baking flour (80g of bamboo fiber and 20g of powdered whole psyllium husk),
    3/4 tsp of salt,
    1 tbsp of baking powder.
Measure 60g of unsalted cold butter.
Pulse the dry ingredients until combined.
    Add the cold butter and
    cut/pulse until coarse crumbs form.
Crack 1 large egg into another bowl,
add 180g of coconut milk (carton) and mix them to combine.
Fold everything together with a spatula or an electric mixer until it begins to come together (for a few minutes).
Allow your dough to rest for 5 minutes.
Carefully peel off the casing while keeping the sausage whole (19oz or 540g of sausage).
Place the dough and any dough pieces onto a silicone mat and gently bring together.
Roll lightly with your hands for a few seconds, use a silicone sheet as the dough is actually sticky.
Place the dough onto a floured silicone mat and sprinkle it with flour.
Form the dough into a rectangle (that is about 12.5”×10” or 32x25cm).
Place the sausages (without the casing) on the dough sheet close to the two long edges.
You can use your favorite flavor - pork sausages, chicken sausages, lamb sausages, or beef sausages.
    Cut the dough in half.
Then roll up the sausage roll towards that end. Pinch the edge to seal. Turn this sausage roll “log” over so that the seam side is down.
Brush the tops with an egg wash and cut the sausage rolls with a sharp knife into the desired length.
Then place the rolls on a baking pan or sheet.
Bake them at 390F (200C) for 25 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and puffed up, and the sausage is cooked through.
Keep in mind that all ovens and pans are different, even if they look the same or very similar. The baking time in my recipes is as accurate as it can be, but it might take you more or less time.
Transfer them to a wire cooling rack and let them cool down slightly.

Looks good. With some added mustard or something similar to dip, I would probably gobble up a bunch in a few minutes 🤔 😂😋! Thank you, Melinda ❤️.

I've been looking for a hotdog bun, or a hoagie roll. Would your croissant work better than this recipe?

I can't wait to make this! I've been waiting for this recipe and now that it's here, I've added it to the top of my list. Thank you for sharing your wonder talent. My math says there is about 1.1 Carb per piece (based on 25 pieces), this is going to be my next appetizer at the party.

Hello, looks very good - can I ask, why do you use coconut milk? I assume I can swap it out for another milk?

I prefer to use coconut milk (because of its taste and carbohydrate), but you can use any type of milk :).
